You can do either but the basic kit only provides partial thermal isolation.
The Iso Thermal kit provides much better thermal isolation. It depends on how much you want to get that last bit of performance.
I generally recommend getting the Iso Thermal and this what most people prefer.

All this yabbba, dabba dooo post about this and that is really confusing for Non techies.
Can someone please tell me what is being discussed and what is being recommended to buy?
So, is it being suggested that none RevUp motor drivers purchase the 5/16” Basic Plenum Spacer & the MREV 2 ?
I have the 2004 6MT.

ps- Please don't state things as facts unless you know what you are talking about.

thank you for getting my back on that one...

Baron, I just purchased my 5/16" Iso Thermal package for $252 shipped from CZP. They ensured me that it's the new model with newer iso thermal gasket, which is the same as what Motordyne is selling. CZP has the sale for $264 + $1 shipping - 5% discount from Sport Z = ~252.
I can't wait to receive both the MREV-2 and the 5/16 Iso thermal.

DIY not needed. Download the manual from the Motordyne web site. Since I'm the type that usually doesn't follow instructions, I'll tell you that in this case I would study the install. Although not difficult, you want to pay attention to discoinnecting battery, cool / cold engine, torque wrench, and progressive sequential tightening sequences. Take your time and do it right.
Have fun.

b. Replace your lower plenum.
c. Return the old lower plenum to Motordyne for a refund.
Congrats on the quick sell out.
Any chance of a limited sale for Crawford upper plenum owners once we see some dyno info. with that config? I thought I read someone was going to dyno that way soon, but your sale went too quick.

No more sales. I can't. Its a mega rush of work on top of saturation already.
Need to slow it down a bit.
And yes, Crawford dynos are on their way!

Thanks Davidv.....I ordered mine before it was sold out.
So much for the sale lasting a week. Hey tony maybe you could use the sale price for people that have supported motordyne and bought motordyne products in the past? (wishful thinking?)

That is unfortunate. Not really fair to Crawford owners waiting to see dynos when you popped the sale out so fast and all the non-Crawford owners snatched them up after seeing the dynos they wanted...
