Are you gonna honor the price to us when you catch back up?
I was just about to order! Thats not fair, actually its posted and therefore
a leagally binding contract. There was no disclaimer about limited quantities.
Not that I would go down that road but you are a business non the less.

I think most people will understand the "Sold Out" status and not hold it against Motordyne.

He also said that the sale would not start until a few weeks after the dynos were released so he had time to build stock. Even when the sale started, he didn't say how many were up for grabs. I know people were chomping at the bit for him to get it going, he jumped the gun a bit, IMO.

Tony gave plenty of warning he was going to sell them, the sale ran quite some time after he said it was limited to stock on hand and he had a good number in stock. On top of that, he is selling these new ones at the same price as the original even though there is more work involved in making them.

For those that missed the post explaining one detail or another, you should look within and at your fellow board member who filled this thread with 30 pages of flack and nonsense because people were to lazy to read what had already been said and attempt to understand it before asking the same questions over and over again.

You're missing the point. Regardless of the details of the sale, he made it happen too soon. It was the dynos that created the mad rush. He sold before anyone had a chance to dyno with an aftermarket upper plenum, which many asked for and he said was coming, so those people got left out.

If you're happy, good for you. If others want to voice their grievances, let them; no-one made you thread-cop of this topic.

And yes, I understand the extra work in the new machining means higher price. Question is, does the 2hp or so improvement over the MREV+ substantiate any of it? I don't think I'd pay substantially more than the MREV+ price for such a small improvement over it.

Am I missing the point? Way back on post 418 it looks like you were offered an option to test the new MREV part, then you went radio silent and asked when the deal ended and you got your answer on post 546 and 11 hours later it was sold out.

Even without a dyno, you could have bought it and waited for a dyno to show up and if the dynos had shown losses for the Crawdford you still could have turned around and sold it for more than you paid for it.

Well, yes, I suppose I could have done that (picked one up and resold if dynos did not support keeping it), but that's just extra work and uneccessary risk that others weren't asked to take, let alone the headache the core return would cause in that situation.

As for the offer to test it, my schedule would not allow it and I have a Kinetix upper plenum. While I would have been satisfied adding the MREV 2 to my setup from seeing dynos of it with a Crawford plenum, the majority have Crawfords and would likely much rather see dynos with it. It wasn't long after that offer was posted that someone with a Crawford jumped at the chance and will be dyno-ed very soon. However, the sale began and ended before we could ever see those dynos.

Doesn't mean anything to those who have already purchased the lower plenum, but for those of us that were initially led to believe that the sales would last thru NEXT Thur. (post #485).....& didn't later notice that in post #546 the sales was changed to "while stock lasts".......

Tony - Why not continue the sales thru Thur. 5/11/06? Just because you don't have the inventory at this moment doesn't mean you HAVE to end the sale, you know - some of us wouldn't mind waiting for the inventory to be replenished....as long as we get the sale price. Granted, many of us will still probably purchase the lower plenum at the higher price if the future dynos with a Crawford plenum show a good result, but it would be a good show of return support to us forum members to let the sale run as originally mentioned, instead of - as it turned out - lasting around 24 hours.

By no means am I trying to suggest how to run YOUR business - just a suggestion that would make you even more friends & customers!!

I think we all just want to be put on the waiting list and locked in at that price, and I have been following all 30 painfull pages and I wasnt waiting for the dyno results I was waiting for Tony to start the sale as promised in his thread and I do understand the leagal ramifications of a promised price or group buy as i have 20 years of retail management experience. Just like if you walk into a store and find an old sale tag left up, the law says you get it for that price unless clearly stated with an expiration date. Any advertised price (and this was an advertised event on a public forum) is required to offer rainchecks which gaurantee the advertised price and protects the consumer.
If you dont belive me a simple call to the Better Business Beura or Chamber of Commerce will straighten that out. How is it my fault that 24 hours into it Tony ran out? So why should I be penalized. I was prepared to put in an order and happily wait a couple weeks for my piece. I didnt expect to get one of the first ones, I'm not even prepared to have it installed anytime soon.
But I did want to take advantage of the special.

Not sure if you guys caught it, but Tony said sale will last 1 week or when it's sold out... and now its sold out. I sneaked in at #120... ha ha ha

For you guys waiting for crawford results.. you shoulda put the order in anyway. I'm switching to a APS Tallboy this summer but I figured I might as well pull the trigger now since in the end it'll cost me less than $200 when its all said and done. Plus you could always re-sell it to some one who missed out!

Give'em a break... Tony is always here on the boards for us and is constantly trying to research new mods as well....

Sorry to anyone who missed the sale but before the sale ended, it was posted that it would last one week or until it was sold out.

I too delayed in pulling the trigger, trying to figure out what was what. Alas there will be more opportunities and I'm sure that there will be procrastination then too. Tony, thanks for your replies to my pm's, I'm in when evrything gets back to normal!!!
