I've dyno tested a lot of different modifications to the lower plenum and I know some types of modifications don't work and some work well. The latests results are shown above.

Knowing what works, I had an idea on how it may be possible to apply this to a another area of the lower plenum. I should be able to machine this additional modification to the lower plenum this week and dyno it on the same G35 sedan. I'll post the results and we'll see what it does to the power curve.

Wired 24/7 - If it makes additional gains (on top of the gains shown above) you can pre/post test it on your Z.

Tony
are you going to put the sale of your present machined-plenum mod on hold until you finish machining and testing the other area?

Yes. It wont be long though. It'll be worth the wait to see what the additional change will do.

I have a 2003 G35 coupe 6MT, in case your interested
If it hasn't shipped already, we can put a hold on your order untill after the additional testing (if you prefer).

Give me a PM with your invoice number and let me know what you would like to do.

Thanx

Additional modification to the lower plenum has been made! It took a lot of material removal for this one. We'll see what it does on the dyno.

Would you like to install one on the Dyno?
Dont change anything but install the new modified lower plenum.

Same dyno, same day, no unstrapping and all that stuff.

Tony, does removing the material weaken the lower plenum or will the removal cause fatigue of the lower plenum over time? Thanks.

Very interesting, indeed. When you hitting the Dyno?

I would also like to see what it does with a Crawford plenum, as opposed to the spacer (though I have a Kinetix v4 plenum; should be about the same).
