BTW, I am looking to get one of your spacers soon and I was wondering if it's worth the extra work to install the copper TB thing? I do drive in the winter but I had just the regular iso thermal spacer before and sometimes would forget to turn the coolant flow valve on, I never ran into any icing problems or anything.
right they used a non nissan 90mm throttlebody. They increased air flow quite a bit with that. Its obviously not an easy task since idk anyone else thats using a 90mm. R u wanting to build a na car?

Good pricing and more importantly trustworthy!
Looks like a nice site, but they don't do any Motordyne exhaust parts, just the plenum stuff.

Funny thing, not really... I know everyone says to go FI and that NA isnt worth the cash, I have been wanting a boosted car forever but can't really afford to have 2 cars at the moment, so no boost for me
I dont really think that I would need a full blown NA build to be happy though, I think I would be more than happy with a car that can run 12 flat.
Boost could do that easy, NA would be harder though. My question more comes from me tinkering with the idea of getting cams, my car came with a intake and exhaust and I am looking to get the spacer soon.
After that there is nothing much more to do except test pipes and a tune, maybe cams, the thing is if the stock plenum holds back the cams from breathing then why dump the cash...
I like the idea of doing cams more than say...headers because I can still benefit from them if I ever go FI.
Sorry for the long post lol.

1 more thing is I want the car to be as street friendly as a stock Z, so I dont want to shift my powerband way high. Maybe a small shot of nitrous?

Seriously considering the MRev2 again... stupid modding bug...

Looking at the delta graphs a couple of pages back, i already have the spacer, so i'm not making as much as i would without already having the spacer.

But, i would still make something, and it's a nice torque increase in the daily driving revs, 2k through 4k RPM.

PS, for anyone interested, the straight through mod of the stock muffler i mentioned, erm, increase in volume, yes, too much? no. Increase in drone, very yes not worth it if you ask me

So, yes, the MREV2 makes power on the DE engine. Not as much as it does on the REVUP engine but it does make power either way.

This is true, i did fit the MREV2 in the end and i did feel some extra kick in there, especially low down, a nice place to have it when you daily drive

The half inch spacer?

Because most of use drive on the road, where the few more ponies up top will almost never be felt/used. If you race, then yes, otherwise the 5/16th will make more power that you can use on the road.

Short version, every HP counts, but more importantly it counts WHERE it is.

This is going to be my next N/A mod along with long tube headers after seeing these results. That large dip in the power delta at ~4800 can probably be tuned out and since I'm already tuned for a 5/16th spacer, I'm sure I'll see slightly better gains. Just wish it were still as cheap as what I saw in the first few posts...

ok so all the mods you have you never feel the power near redline? So you bought yours to cruise at 3k rpm? And of you race yes lol I'm lost don't we all mod our car to go "fast" anyways

Have you ever dynoed your car?

Not entirely sure what you wrote there, also not entirely sure how much you understand of power curves.

The peak power is only at ~max RPM, so unless your engine is at max RPM, then it's not making that power.

Peak power gains also are not always gains throughout the range, some literally add some power to the very top, and that's it.

The best mods increase the power at any given point in the RPM range, as your engine spends more time there, any gains are more noticeable than a gain right at the top of the RPM range.

@op

So this (mrev2 + 5/16 spacer) and a little more aggressive cams (Tomei 264), plus a tune should bring me closer to that 300whp(285-295 range) mark? Sry for bringing up a dead thread.

You will need supporting mods, Headers, Full exhaust, some sort of intake and a hell of a tune.

You'll need a good bit of mods as stated above. I hit 293whp in my 03 DE, but run Tomei 272 cams, headers, kinetix velocity, NWP throttle body, and a bunch of other stuff.

More than likely, the MREV is still going to nose dive once you rev out above 6500ish rpm. The kinetix will help you hold power better to redline if you run a cam and rev out to 8k-ish rpm.

Sorry for the old bump, but someone should update the original pics since Motordyne still sends people to it on their MREV2 page. I am very interested in some 350Z mods for my son's 2005 DE Touring 6MT. Of course debating FI at the same time.

I just finished up a year long huge build on my own car (2016 Cadillac CTS VSport) so looking for another project
