spacer... different kinds

...used for aftermarket speakers to fit in the stock speaker cut-out hole in the door

...used to increase the volume of the plenum to get more airflow, more power

...used to space the wheels out so they sit flush with the fender

Since this is in the intake/exhaust section, I'm going with the second one...

keep searching, it's well covered. when u use the advanced search, you may wish to use the "search titles" option. if you keep asking simple questions, any future questions you ask will not be received well. (this is me looking out for you)

You guys /girls cry like little girls anytime anyone asks a previuosly asked question. Obviously people don't like to search or just don't bother, and if you're too busy, too cool, or if you think you are God because you drive a Z then you have problems. I'm wasting my time here right now but just wanted to vent my frustrations with Z owners thinking their **** doesn't stink. Get off your high horse, it's only a Z. To all of you who contribute with good info, thank you.

Here's an oldy but goody just so you get the general gist of things...

This is an example of a "Full Plenum":
http://crawfordz.com/support/crawford2.wmv

A "Plenum Spacer" is just what it sounds like. It achieves pretty much the same results as a full plenum accept that you keep your OEM piece & simply put a spacer to raise it up.

If you want more details...there are tons of info already out there. You can specifically search for popular "Full Plenum" brands such as Crawford, Kinetix, or APS. For "Plenum Spacers", you can search for AAM or Motordyne Engineering.

A spacer is a thing with the soul purpose of putting space between two other things. Sort of like the spacer between your ears.

This thread is so funny because the noob already knows he's asking a stupid question. Why would you ask, if you already know its stupid?

It has nothing to do with driving a Z. NOTHING.

All good web forums are like this. The better the forum, the more influx of noobs, and the more of the SAME EXACT QUESTION gets posted. This forum has one of the most relaxed moderator-staff of any that I've been on.

Noobs need to learn how to search. Why do you think it's okay to give a man a fish when telling him to "search" is basically teaching him to fish?

PS Being a "noob" has nothing to do with post count or join date. If you are an active member of a web forum for any decent amount of time, you will pick up searching skills quickly. Then in any web forum you join after that, you will not be perceived as a noob.
