ya, it is hard to explain. the sound is sharp and metallic, yet very low. if that makes any sence. kind of like what flowmasters sound like on a V-8. the sound is not muttled though like other systems. it keeps the sharp tone.

ya, my friend edited out like 2/3's of the vid before he emailed it to me. but i figured i better post something quickly so people can hear it. i let him drive the car so i could hear it outside with my own ears. the vid really doesn't do justice. needs to be heard in person. it definately means business!!

I was hoping to keep some of the original Z tone but I'm still considering it. Can you get another video with a better quality camera if possible? And pics of the 4" tips? lol, sorry for being so demanding, I tend to be like that before getting a new mod

That car is turbo too

Don't be judging the sound of it if you are an N/A car. Turbos are muffling devices and change the sound of the car a lot.

...Still waiting on N/A clips, but that sounds awesome. I think on the turbo car I may like the 3" better though.

In your opinion do you think that the exhaust still retains some of the Z tone? From the video its hard to grasp the true sound(as with any exhaust video really) also have you ever thrown it on a dyno? The solid motor mount special still going with this exhaust?

the original tone is still there, just deeper. you can see the mufflers by themselves at www.aeroexhaust.com just look for the 2540i in the muffler section. i'll see what i can do about the cam.

ya, it is super hard for me to get a sound clip on an n/a car here. not many Z's around, and most all of them are stock with the owner not interested in modifying it.

i am going to test the 3" resonators on this 2.5" exhaust. see what it does for noise levels and resonance.

if this makes sence, the sound and tone definately goes with the car. meaning, if you saw a ferarri but they started it up and it sounded like a VW bug, you would say W T F. firing order and displacement mostly determines the sounds from a motor. those have not been changed, so you do still here the Z sound.

yes, the solid motor mount deal is still on.

i had the car on the dyno a couple weeks ago, but i got screwed on my dyno time and only got a few passes and they had to pull it off before i could get a vid. they still owe me free dyno time, but the clutch was slipping anything over 500rwhp, so before i hit the dyno again i need to upgrade the clutch.

seriously...I'm sure there is someone willing to be the guinea pig...even if they don't keep the exhaust...just don't make them pay for it. if they like it, give them a discount. its a neutral-neutral or win-win situation

thats me lol.
It'll be here soon. Scott wants ALL bugs to be out and this system to be perfect end all exhaust systems for the Z. I'd rather he take his time than me having to complain and whine to him. According to scott, he wants to do one more test setup and then he'll ship it out and we'll have a nice video of the exhaust for you guys! Just give Scott time! Once he gets it perfect, the group buy will commence. Theres a reason its on hold for 4 months.

i may have someone. but the main problem is scheduling. his schedule, my schedule, then the dyno, lol. by the time this got worked out raj would already have it and prolly could have posted a clip.
looks like raj will be the first one to be able to get an n/a clip. i did get an offer locally to buy the one on my car, and he is n/a, but i know raj would fly over here and kick my ...... if i made him wait much longer, lol. don't worry raj, i wouldn't do that to ya.

ok, just had a good idea. need to work out the details, but may be able to get a sound clip and before and after dyno runs soon on a local n/a car.

ok, well i am going to finally start making a list here

1. plumpzz
2. gringott (unpolished)
3. brokeazz
4. sundeviljay
5.? lol

again, price is $1300 with a free set of solid motor mounts, which retail for $110. if you decide on the unpolished, subtract another $40.

working to get better and n/a sound clips for the rest of ya on the fence. right now the responce is good enough for me to start running off sets, so should be ready to start shipping by next week. but will have the sound clips before then. thanks guys.
