I am waiting the arrival of my Q unichip and already have the MREV 2 installed on my 287 motor, has any body actually got a tune after the install of both MREV 2 and 5/16 spacer? Here is the dyno from Wired 24/7 car:
Here is where he said that you probably would benefit from a tune with the mrev2 and spacer combined
since i am gonna have the tune done just trying to see if it is worth it to have the spacer installed to? I don't want to spend the 260 if i am going to see no difference.

... YET! These dynos are compareing baseline to MREV V2 + 5/16" spacer.
I forgot to get those printouts when I was there... it was getting late (4 hours after the place already was supposed to close) and we had been installing MREVs for about 7 hours straight.
I will get my hands on those graphs. The files are there, I just need to get them from Church's.
I will let the dynos speak for themselves, except a couple of notes:
notice how the very best baseline still does not compare to even the very worst modded dyno. Bottom line is, this is a kick-*** mod for the money. Guaranteed horsepower and you can really feel it

Edit: THE AIR/FUEL READS 1.0 POINTS TOO LEAN! The motor is NOT at 15 AFR, it hits a peak of 14 AFR.
Edit: More notes:

More Dynos to come!! Don't forget to subscribe / stay tuned!

P.S. The title where it says "Matt R 350z HKS SC" is incorrect, I already got a PM about that
The computer has some kind of glitch with creating titles of the charts. Even though my dyno was done first, Matt (Z BOY's) dyno was PRINTED first. Just ignore the title...

Edit: More notes:
- All dyno runs were done on 91 octane. (California's finest)
- All runs were done on the same tank of gas and at the same engine coolant temperature.
- Mods were installed without removing the car from the dyno.

On one hand, the MREV2 produced a higher peak HP and higher peak TQ number. But only slightly.
On the other hand, adding the 5/16" spacer beats the MREV2 in the top end.
It has a flatter HP peak and makes better HP up to the rev limiter.
Bottom line is:
MREV2 is the best bang for your buck.
MREV2 + 5/16" spacer is also very good and can benefit more than just the MREV2 if you get a tune
That is my take on it.
You cannot just say "OMG the 5/16" spacer lost power and that's that." That is true in one sense, but false in another.
****Disclaimer: I am not being urged by Tony to say these things in any way. This is MY take on the situation and if the 5/16" spacer sucked ***, I would gladly say so. ****

Here's my .02 - my buddy got the 5/16 spacer and was very pleased with the results. He later got a utec with tuner and tuned it himself with advanced timing and spot on A/F ratio. He was order #80 something on the mrev2 and the results after that install were less than pleasing. Now I know we never put it on the dyno but after the mrev 2 install his A/F ratio was the same and after data logging he felt no need to re-tune. We race all the time and frankly the mrev2 did nothing. After looking at the mrev2 i decided to lower the front two runners on my lower plenum. The results were negligent! A week later I received my used skunk2 spacer from audiblemayhem and after that install I noticed a huge gain. Top end was sick and I chirp going into third on my 275's. Its our belief that the spacer is a much better mod for the money and ZTampa's experience with the utec proves that adding the mrev2 to an already existing spacer will not change air fuel in some cases. However it was running a tad lean just with the spacer before he tuned it with utec
injen ses exhaust, stillen TP's, pop charger, sun hyper force system, short shifter on a base 03. I ran a 13.9 a month ago in 95 degree temps before the mrev2 and spacer. Were going back in a couple of weeks to see if any gains. The way the car feels now I expect better times
I think the best option would be getting the MREV2 with a spacer and then getting the car tuned i.e. reflash, UTEC, Emanage. Thats what Wired said. So for me do I need to reflash again by adding this combo?
