Default HKS Hi-Power Titanium Exhaust

I tried the search but couldn't find what I need. I have an '06 with MT (rev-up). If I were to install an HKS Hi-Power Titanium Exhaust without any other modifcations, would the stock CPU be able to compensate or would it require tuning? Also, what kind of power improvement might I see with only the exhaust and not changing the stock intake?

Your ECU will not require tuning with that exhaust. Expect to gain 5-7whp and for the love of god its NOT a titainium exhaust system. It only has titainium tips. It sounds nice though but you will lose that familiar Z note since its a true dual. Also the Nismo/Fuji sound alot better than the HKS under load.

5-7 might be more realistic and you are going to have a sweet sounding and looking exhaust system IMO

Word of advice ... don't get it if you want to be unique. Everyone has this exhaust now. If you want to have an awesome sound AND be unique, go with JIC titanium, Amuse titanium, Fujitsubo or something like that.

Everyone has it since the price goes down quite a bit (or you know where to buy it at lowest price) It's still the most sexy looking and exotic sound.

if your car is REALLY low, get it, because true dual are the only exhausts that tuck up into the car better than other exhausts like the beautiful Amuse R1, that still uses a y-pipe setup and not much ground clearance around the under-sway area of the piping; again, this only applies if you plan to get your car WAY low, otherwise the Amuse R1 wins in the unique, pimp, beautiful description department

I had the HKS installed on my car yersterday, and I am very happy. The sound is really exotic. I don't regret this mod a bit. The only other mod on my car is a K&N drop-in filter.

I have the HKS Hi-Power on my 06 and love it. It does not need to be tuned.

The HKS doesnt sound as exotic as the Amuse R1. That is the most exotic sounding exhaust.

Both are great exhaust systems but the Amuse R1 is in a different class. I just did not see the need to spent the extra $1500 on an exhaust system, sorry for the rant.

My Amuse sounds close to the stock exhaust but just a lil bit more louder. It does sound classy and not ricey, deep and throaty note on low rpms and high pitch above 4k rpms. Waiting for that Amuse R1000 Front Pipe (y-pipe and straight/test pipe all in one) to arrive and pair it up w/ my exhaust

I definitely love how the Amuse looks, but I don't seem to understand why people think the R1 sounds so exotic. I've heard it on friends' cars and it was not that impressive. I know I wouldnt be intimidated if someone revved an amuse exhaust on me

I've heard it with a Y pipe and test pipes and it hands down is the nicest sounding in my book - I get exhaust envy over it
