Default Want to clear this MREV thing up one last time..

I'm making this as straightforward as possible:
Which would be best on a REVUP '06 z?
-MREV+
-MREV+ and 5/16 Spacer
-5/16 Spacer

If the answer is the MREV+ and 5/16 spacer, are the gains significant enough to spend the extra $250 or so to get it?

(I've searched this a lot, and I've posted about it a few times, but I need a straightforward answer)

If you have the REVUP engine (in the 6MT) do both the MREV2 and the spacer together. Its definitly the best plenum mod you can do.

If you have a non-REVUP engine (in the automatic), do one or the other. You can always add the other mod later, but first get a dyno before doing the second mod. If your A/F ratio is in the 13's or lower, you can do the other mod. If your A/F is in the 14's or higher, get a reflash or engine management first.

Hey Dingo,

If you sell your stock manifold I might be interested in purchasing it for boredom purposes. lol

BTW When you have a MREV or any version of it installed on your REVUP motor, you will have this grin on your face .

I think Wired24/7 is going to be dynoing his car soon. He has a 05' Non REVUP I think with the MREV2 +5/16" spacer and will be tuned with a greddy e-manage ultimate.

Tony, why can't you just add MREV2 + 1/2 spacer on a non-rev up motor?

I have the MREV2 and have the 5/16 spacer, will be installing this weekend. I have an '04 6MT. I will get dyno'ed after the install. I also have the UTEC, wideband tuner and remote switch en route and will be here within a few days. After I install that, I will get ANOTHER dyno, also posting results. I am hoping to clear some things up for alot of folks.

since your doing two dynos you should install the mrev2 then dyno then install the spacer and redyno and once again redyno after to UTEC to see the gains when tuned. whats one extra dyno. j/k would be nice to figure out the upside of the spacer and mrev2 on the 287

Shouldn't he get like 4 dynos in order to obtain best info? Before any mods, after a mod, after the remaining mod, after the tune.

If you give me your mods, I can do those 4 different dynos for you. Of couse, I'd keep the mods, but hey you get the satisfaction of gaining knowledge.

What if the AFR is set at 13.3? Can you run them together then? Because I reflashed and Tadashi set my AFR at 13.3 but I am running the Rev-up lower plenum. If I get the MREV2+spacer, do I need to reflash again?

Are you asking for the lower plenum? I have that on my car and if I do the MREV2, spacer, or a combination of the 2, I can sell you my Rev-up lower plenum. I have to see if I get more hp/tq from the motordyne stuff 1st. Besides you are local so I can sell it to u easy.

When you speak of 13's...what RPM exactly, because my A/F starts 14.5 @ 3K then hits 14 @ 4.4K, 13.5 @ 6 then ends at 13 at redline

You can. Higher peak, but it makes less area under the curve.
Every dyno to date shows the 5/16" spacer always making more area under the curve.
