well I just ask Doug from Crawford. He did not find any problems with power loss with the Injen Intake. The problems lies with the other CAI such as the Nismo and AEM where dyno shows power loss. IMO, I can see why it would be different since those CAIs (Nismo and AEM) position their Filter in the wheel well and the Injen 1986 is located in front. Finally got the answer I was looking for. hope this helps everyone.
There shouldn't be any real problems, but I've read of several people's stories about trapping lower speeds in the 1/4 mile and the speeds went back up after converting their cai to sri.
from what I understand, it has to do with the turbulance that is created in the front of the radiator. I am sure someone can give a better explanation of this. I have seen a post on it before...if I can find it, I will post it here.
No...it will not blow your engine...just decrease performance.
