Hi, I've had my 350z for 2 years now and have been noticing within the last couple of months that my exhaust sound has changed significantly. It used to have the low and somewhat loud rumble that I'm sure you all know of, but recently it has been difficult to hear. I remember my car used to have a nice tone whenever I accelerated, regardless of the gear I was in before, but now I can barely hear it when I downshift. I took it to the dealer and they claimed there was nothing wrong with it. Hopefully someone here can help me. Thanks.

Maybe it is time for a change. Check our our Intimidator exhaust system @
www.fastintentions.com
It keeps the stock exhaust note, just only louder. It is very subtle at idle but when you go WOT everyone knows that she is modified.

Thanks for the welcome. I thought it was just me becoming accustomed to the exhaust sound at first too, but then I started noticing other 350's and g35's as they drove past me. That's when I decided to test drive a Z at a dealer and knew that it wasn't just in my head, the sound was definitely different. When i downshift from 4th to 3rd, I really have to strain to hear the exhaust and can still barely hear the sound, and 3rd to second is a little more noticeable, but not nearly as noticeable as it used to be. Not sure if this could be a cause, but I did back up too far in a parking spot once and scraped the exhaust mufflers on a cement block and I did downgrade to 92 gas for a while, instead of the 94 which I used to fill it up with (Canadian grades, not sure if it differs in the states). I appreciate all the replies back so far, hopefully we can figure this out! Thanks.
