Mine wasn't really meant to be a head chopping but more of what else do you have to offer.

Who will manufacture?
How much?
etc

The exhaust on this car seems to be on par with what most aftermarket suppliers can deliver. I am just wondering if there will be any benefits like the 300ZX had.

It's ok Bullish. Hopefully I will be the second one to put an exhaust on my Z.

Anyone else think that they left room for nismo improvements on purpose? What would be the point of bringing nismo parts here for the Z, if they already had everything optimiZed. We all know there will be something from nismo for our cars, maybe this is where the 300+ rumors were coming from... nismo testing has to have been done already if they're releasing the parts with or close to the launch of the car. I'm just being optimistic.... dreaming of warranteed FI.

About exhausts... what do good performance exhausts usually do to a V6 sound?? I hope good things. Finally a car I can gran turismo out in real life. All I have to do is find a half a million dollars in order to buy all the parts from the nismo store.

An aftermarket exhaust can do wonders for the sound of a V6.

I had really loved the sound of the B&B from the outside. Very smooth and most compare it to a Ferrari's. From inside, I couldn't take the reverb that it caused at cruising speed and rpm.

An aftermarket exhaust sound in a lot of cases is like audio. It will depend on your personal taste. We have all heard of the annoying grapefruit-launching exhausts but there are many out there that don't annoy everyone else and make beautiful music from the engine.

Why put on a muffler when you could install a full cat-back exhaust for better performance?

I think Nissan purposely left room for improvement on the car to make money on the aftermarket err... market. Heh.

There is lots of $$$ to be made there, which entrepreneurs like Steve Millen and others have have taken advantage of. Nissan has supplied the biggest portion of the equation, meaning the cars... and other people have profitted hugely on small aftermarket add-ons.

Default B&B

I've been in touch with B&B regarding development on the 350. I agree, on the Z32 it was the closest to an exotic in terms of sound. I became acustomed to the resonance inside the car at low rpm's and grew to love it.

Looks like I will have to wait for someone in Arizona to let them develop the product on their car before I can get one. Cheap and B&B are never in the same sentance but I hope it is cheaper than the Z32 version.........no substitute for that exhaust note..

Hey Colecat....remember that group buy that was put together for the B&B through DSA a couple of years ago. I was the unfortunate dumba$$ that set that whole thing up. I agree that the B&B was the sweetest note you could get but the resonance made my $6000 stereo worthless. I may have to listen to yours when it comes out to see if it is worth it this time.

Yeah, I remember that......what a nightmare that must have been. I had a ton of stero work in my Z too.....exhaust eally got to it...but it wasn't bad. I think with all the Dynamat, plexi, mirrors, neon and the false floor it was drowned out some. Don't know if you ever saw the pics but it was something else. I'll definately wait for B&B to offer something if Nismo isn't getting a similar exhaust note. I just haven't seen anyone match the quality....although I know some ppl had issues with the way theirs hung. ( I think the GB's affected their QC procedures a little at times.)

I'll give'em another shot though and let you guys know what it looks like and how it sounds.

of all the sound clips they have on their site, the best one isn't there....the Z32. Those porsches are pretty close though

After all that pain, I was one of those that had one that hung way out of whack. It wasn't even close. Yep, I do hope that they get one on the 350Z and the resonance will go away. I may have to make the road trip up that way to hear yours though as I am now gunshy about being the first to try one of theirs.
