Default popcharger: heatshield question... please help!

i was wondering how to fix/mold the edge trim (the black thing) onto the heatshield. do i just simply put it on or do i have to do something extra to make it stick or...??

also, how many holes should i drill through the intake (the part where u attach the heatshield)?? on the instruction video i saw, it seemed like the guy drilled one hole, but then he said "some holes" so im confused.

thanks in advance!!

if i remember correctly its two holes to punch through the plastic. the heat shield trim forms around the edge with no glue or anything like that. it doesn't need it.

Best way is to use 3 inche nail and heat it up real hot. It'll punture right through.
For the rubber cover on top, just stick it on

Yeah, just "mold" the black thing on. Look at the little slits and put it right over; nothing fancy is needed at all.

Hey, while we're talking about the Pop Charger, I recently got one and this bracket didn't come with it. Anyone know if this is supposed to be part of the kit? The filter looks fine without it, but I'd feel better if it was more secure.

You have to drill two holes.
What he says in the video is that you need to becareful when you drill through the plastic.. he says that unless you want to drill a couple of holes on the plastic..

Good news, I took a piece of metal and just bent it into a bracket to do the same thing as the one that was supposed to come with the kit.

You don't even have to drill holes in the stock intake pipe.

I just used a big Zip Tie and tied the metal tab on the heatshield to the black intake pipe.

It still hasn't come off yet after over a year of driving!!!
