What cat back exhaust do you plan on buying? I have seen so many different kits and was curious to see what route everyone is heading in and what their thoughts our.

i dont know about everyone else, but I have been discouraged by all these high prices. So far I have seen prices from $900 all the way to $2700.

I just found out about the Borla! at $700 and change and throw in their excellent reputation... Theyve got my money. Im buying in two weeks!

I'm going with the Borla system most likely. Mostly because of price and their reputation. Summit has it for about 630.

Yeah I just can't see spending 2000 on an exhaust either.

I think I might go with the Injen exhaust. It is true "dual" pipes (stainless steel).

Cheers for coming up with the perfect adj to describe the exhaust note on some of those rice mobiles out there!

Thumbs up EXHAUST

I got a Stillen. Fits very well, sounds great, looks great, butt dyno says more power. I will post actual dyno results when I have time to run it through.

Wink Removing the Silencer

For you guys who don't have the money yet, and just want to make the Z sound cooler, remove the silencer. For just $30.00, you can have it removed. The sound is much better, especially at about 4,000rpm. With the windows up, the car is still quiet, but with them down it has a much better growl.

I just sold my Ferrari to buy the Z, and except for the cam whine, which only a Ferrari has, the sound is similar to the 360 Modena. Not bad to sound like a $200,000 car for just $35,000.

I too will eventually get a true dual exhaust eventually for more power, but for now, go remove the silencer!

Also, for you guys who can't afford new wheels, and just want to fill in the flared fenders better, order 1" racing spacers from Spencer Racing. For about $400.00, they bring the wheels right out to the fenders with no rub even at high speed cornering limits.

Then you will be even 400 dollars further away from the wheels that you can't now afford. Great idea!

Default Exhaust

Anyone dyno the Stillen exhaust?

What is the biggest horsepower gain anyone has seen with an exhaust upgrade on the 350?

Actually I like the idea of useing spacers for a more aggressive stance. I'm happy with my track rays and don't plan on new wheels any time soon, so that would be the way to go. However that is a little spendy for something purely cosmetic, and could potentialy harm the car.

Well, if I had the track rims I would not buy rims either! I have the heavy 18's. Anyone know the weight of the track rims? I think my tourings are 26lbs.

Is it just me or does that sound wrong? Sold a Ferrari to buy a Nissan...
