Default Will it Do any good to reset my ecu after intake and spacer?

Hey guys. I've got a plenum spacer and popcharger and was wondering if reseting my ecu would actually do any good. I've heard conflicting reports on this site and was just wondering if someone could give me a deffinitive answer.

thanks

it doesnt hurt anything to do so. gives the computer a chance to learn new settings due to a bigger intake. most people reset their ecu's after anything that gets changed...even their underwear.

Are you sure you have the intake spacer? Because after I put mine on, I didn't have a choice, I had to reset my ecu.

yes, I have a 5/16 motordyne plenum spacer with the iso thermal. What do you mean by had to? are you refering to the fact that is says to in the instructions?

man what is this like the 6th post you have had where you could find the answer in about 2 seconds from searching?!

Just reset it, doesnt take any effort from you and it cant hurt anything, unhook the battery, pump the brakes a few times, and then hook battery back up..

If you read the original post it says that I've read through several posts on here and read conflicting information on whether it does or doesn't help. I read these after I searched for them.

It take around a few hundred miles of driving around for the ecu to adjust, without resetting.

^^^ It does take some time for the ECU to relearn what ever fuel maps it has to learn from your driving style, however there is no evidence, or logic, that you will accomplish anything as far as performance goes.
