Spacer + crawford = diminishing returns and not worth your money.

Also, if plenum volume is too big, you lose some throttle response.

These hypothetical questions have become ridiculous. What if I had this, and how much would I make if I had that. Search, if you don't find it, buy the damn thing, dyno it, and tells us so we'll all know next time.

Nope - you either do spacer or a plenum - not both, unless you do MREV+ or MREV2 as well.

Too much volume not only gives you less HP overall, but forces lean conditions.

Technically, if you ran large injectors, return fuel system and a large fuel pump, a great tune - you COULD see gains with increasing the plenum volume.

HOWEVER - you'd be limited to the amount of volume the heads and valves would and could process - so you'd need cams and head work as well to maximize this mod.

Pretty expensive - and not really worth it. The factory plenums with MD mods are the most efficient out there...plenum replacements like Kinetix and Crawford give the same results as the MD line, if not slightly lower - but with less chance for a leaks as you don't have the additional gaskets from the spacer to contend with...but that is such a minor concern.

Won't matter very much at all. But how about getting the turbo first and *then* worrying about minor details like plenum spacer

This is the same as, "what if I install 3 plenum spacers?". The answer is simple, DON'T!

There is no point. You will not see gains. You will see a loss. It's a waste of money. But hey, if you are bored and have extra money to burn then by all means, be my guest.

I have a very similar question as the OP. I just picked up an 06 with revup. I still have the crawford polished upper from my old Z. I plan on installing it soon (love the look and performance). being a revup should i get a new lower also, or does the crawford upper suffice? thanks

Hahaha! Some of you guys are pretty damn funny. This board makes me laugh all the time with all the caustic sarcasm.

To answer the question:

No. Just do one upper plenum mod and you are done. You may or may not be able to fit a Crawford plenum on top of the spacer but I seriously doubt it will have any real world additional gain.

The MREV2 will make good gains on a REVUP engine and it will be even better when used with any kind of upper plenum mod. Cast plenum, plastic plenum, aluminum spacer, plastic, angled or straight.

But don't waste your money or your strut bar by stacking a plenum on top of a spacer.

yeah, crawford upper plenum won't accomodate stock strut bar by itself, i wonder how many spacers you'd have to put under it before you have to get one of those beautiful stillen hoods?

We need to make a "what works on your car" for the plenums, spacers, lower plenums, etc.

It is getting crazy with all the options and trim model cars. revup non rev.

Just a thought. Sticky it and call it a day and close all plenum threads.

So anyway whats the best for non revup 03
