you absolutely don't need a 3" true dual exhaust on a n/a Z. 3" single is one thing, but beyond that you're in FI territory and you'd lose power for sure. Even dual 2.5" is overkill for n/a

for NA, I'd doubt anything more than a single 3" would help

for nitrous, depending on what shot you'll be running, AAM's true dual 3" might help some...but like stated above, the dual 3" are more for FI.

*I'm NA and just ordered AAM's 3" single...low restriction and light.

Nitrous does run better on a car that has bigger exhaust. I had a 120shot zex on a nx2k with stock exhaust ran good but the Hit was 10X better with larger diam exhaust

yes, but stock exhaust on an NX2000 is like 1.4" diameter dude. Anything is better than that. Besides, you cannot compare another motor with a vq35. Apples vs. sausages.

If he runs larger than 3" low restriction single, he's going to lose torque, simple as that.

a Motor is a pump thats all it is how much more efficient can you make that pump. Either way yes very different bread motors 4 cyl vs 6 cyl.

obviously, but there's a point at which the engine as a pump has lost efficiency if there's too much exhaust space to fill up.

its more like 2.25" ish (which is probably the optimal size for N/A imo)... not quite 2.5"

a 3 inch true dual exhaust would be horrendously loud and ineffective on an NA cat.

All of the single exhausts out there for a Z I've ever seen are 3 inch.

The HKS true dual is twin 60mm piping

I have the AAM TD 3" exhaust on mine (which is NA) but I am going to be FI soon. With the 3" TD you lose a little torque but gain a little up top. If you are going to stay NA then go with a 3" single or 2.5" TD.
