i would love to get this mod, but i have had oil consumption and pining issues since day 1 and am afraid to mod.
i bought the car to mod, but was hoping to take the chance of a voided warranty with the car running as it should stock.

Get all that stuff fixed before you do anything!
Otherwise you can run the risk of having the dealer blame everything on your mods.
Some dealerships can be cool and some can be rotten.
Have a transmission problem?... It must be caused by your tinted windows!
Have an oil consumption problem?... It must be cause by thoes aftermarket speakers you have in the door!

I believe for the revup the optimum combo nation for powe rwould be the iso thermal mrev2 and 5/1/2 spacer iso thermal and call it a day. Tuning would also reap the best out of this mod aswell. But it will get u the best results with a slight variation at the top end with a 3 hp -+ correction which varies car to car. Correct me if im wrong hyrdra, is my understanding good.
MREV isn't actually a stock part.
When the first version of the MREV kit came out, it consited of a stock 287 lower plenum and a plenum spacer. This was used only on the REVUP engine and it was called a MREV kit.
But then the design evolved, where the stock 287 lower plenum was modified for additional gains. This kit was called the MREV+. It was later found that this modification was also effective on the 287 engine.
Then additional modifications were made to the lower plenum for more gains and it was called MREV2.

There was a guy who recently did a pre/post dyno install of the two. He posted the plots on this board.
Do a search on it. He did it on a G35 and it certaintly made gains.
