I hope this answers your question.

Thanks, yeah that makes sense optimal A/F for an NA engine should be around 13.2 safely. I think it should be fine, I don't have any other mods like headers or test pipes that would lean me out.

According to the question/answer section I was reading in...the non-rev 287HP engine is better with MREV2 only from what I read. Is this correct? I am possibly ready to buy, but want to make right choice

No, the spacer is what gains most of your hp on a 287, only small gains with mrev. The Rev up gains more from MREV then spacer.

I have just about read all these threads on MotorDyne and thats what I thought too. non-revup 287hp gains most from spacer and rev-up 300hp gains most from MREV2. The rev-up sees nice gains from combining spacer and MREV2 but the largest gain is from the MREV2.

Hi guys,

On the 287 engine, for area under the curve, the MREV2 actually makes a little bit more than even the spacer. But the difference is pretty small.

The spacer makes about 1-2 HP more at the peak, but the MREV2 makes 1-2 more TQ with a little more midrange.

You could do either one and get pretty much the same results, they both predominantly add top end. There is a little bit of a trade off between them though.

1) the spacer has very good stealth and a little more bang for the buck.
2) the MREV2 has 100% stealth and a little more area under the curve.

And no matter what you do, if you have a REVUP engine, do both!

So on a 287 what could we expect in gains with Mrev2 + Spacer?

I posted dyno plots of it several months ago.
Assuming the A/F is within nominal, it made 2-6 HP at various parts of the curve.

Yes. But every car will work best with a little more or a little less. Only a careful tune will show exactly what is needed for your car.
