u do not have a revup. (unless the autos are 300 now also ?) so for a cost effective means do the spacer. Just pm hydra this thread is looney everyones asking the same question from my understanding u can do both on both engines but it will benefit the revup most if u do both and the spacer if u do the 287. both with correction uptop and there might be a lean issue with doign both on the 287 but this isnt common.

^^ no it's not.
Spacer or Mrev2 are pretty much the best NA mods you can put on a Z. Depends what your preference and budget is though. Spacer adds more top end hp and is better for drag racing than the MRev2 alone. MRev2 alone is also a great power adder but not as much top end hp as spacer provides, this mod however has been proven on dynos to provide more "area under the curve", which translates to more torque you can feel in daily driving in lower rpms.
I personally chose to go with both mods (group buy from Intense Power), knowing it would make me lean, but also knowing I would purchase a UTEC, tune all my mods on the dyno and bring out about 13-15 MORE HP/TQ from my mods. I know when I tune, the fact that it made me lean will be good news due to my newfound power after the tune (adding more fuel to get the AF ratios to 13.0). So you can make about 20+ hp with both spacer and MRev2 on a nonrevup (287hp motor) with a tune (depending on what your afrs were before as they can vary from car to car). If you do a search Wired 24/7 posted dyno charts to prove his gains.
It all just depends on what you want and can afford. If you are not looking to tune or buy a UTEC just decide if you want more top end power or more low end torque. ("Audible Mayhem" at Performance Factory can get you a phenomenal deal on a UTEC though!!) I installed the spacer first and LOVED IT! Then a few weeks later the MRev2 and didnt notice much of a difference, actually at the track I did worse. Lost some top end, too much air and not enough fuel (lean), I should be getting the UTEC in the next few weeks though....can't wait.
First getting the 3.5 final drive rear end though (from a 6MT Z or G w/ VLSD), thats def. a mod to get for your auto!! Research it.
Hope I was of help.

You can still order a MREV2 at the Christmas special discount to the end of the month, and it will ship as soon as the new stock come in.
And (as always) your account won't be charged until it ships out.

I just installed the mrev2 and spacer on my 06 revup and you can notice power in the lower rpm range but for some reason it doesnt feel that much fast in the top end? It does feel different but not the big kick in the pants that everyone claims. At this point I think that the test pipes made a little more of an overall differenc the the mrev2 + spacer. The only reason that I can think that it may not feel as quick as its claimed to be is that the aam reflash could be running a little rich. Anyone think thats it?

Isn't the JWT popcharger pretty much a short ram intake? if so I would swith it out for a true cold air intake, when altering the ecu with a/f heatsoak plays a big role in tuning, with a CAI you will get consistent intake to match up to your fuel.
