Default Did i loose power????

im just wondering if maybe i lost power, i just installed AAM single ti, resinated testpipes and JIC ypipe, but the single is 3 inch which im wondering if i lost power. It sounds sick , very loud but i will soon be putting nitrous back on so i thought it would be a perfect set up. So tell me if u think i lost power

You might have losst some low end torque due to the large piping, but you probably gained some up top.

+1 to trading low end TQ for up top power...overall you should be faster.

are you running with Cats, or TP's? ...I'm just about done installing AAM's single 3" and am a little nervous as to how loud it's gonna be w/ Strup headers, AAM TP, Y-pipe and single 3"...I'll most likley be running it with their silencer to keep the noise down around town.

any sound clips?

Thats the same setup as me (TP, JIC Y Pipe, and then the AAM Single Exhaust) Now I'm scared about putting the exhaust on cause I can't have it be that loud!! Ahhh

I think I lost some lower end torque with my breathing mods, but gain up top.

Default Similar (sort of) setup and opinion

I have the following breathing mods on my 6sp Z:

- 80mm (3.1``) JIC ti resonated single

- 5/16`` plenum spacer

- JWT intake

along with some significant (150lbs) weight reduction and a UR flywheel.

My car is undoubtedly faster/stronger than when it was stock. I dynoed 243 whp on a Dynodynamics last summer w/o the JIC on at that time. No stock baseline to compare to, but...

The car clearly pulls harder up top vs stock. Revs faster and pulls stronger from about 4700 and up. Similar low and middle rev. performance to stock - maybe better there too.
I don`t feel any loss at low rpms, but the weight loss could account for that too.

Biggest improvement came with the JWT and JIC 1 year and 1 month ago respectively. I didn`t feel much with the spacer alone, but now things are working together apparently.

what do u guys recommend , i see the aams single ti. Or JIC spratan ST single ? What do u guys think? The JIC may be lighter , but im curious to the resonater feature, ...its not a silencer ,maybey more packing in the muffler anyone? there opinions. Looking at the exhaust it looks like it will produce nice gains aswell as weight savings.

what exhaust do u prefer the aam single TI . Or the JIC TI single. Im up in hands with it btw, i would be going with the JIC semi ti if i did choose it cause , ....yea the full TI is hella expensive. Any thoughts on hp or sound? The aam single ti tip does look good also but never heard anything thing really about it? So im asking ya know. The question uptop was also to say that some feature a resonated feature for the exhaust . Its not a silencer but im guessing its extra muffler packing , thats what i meant.
