Default Greddy SP2

I did a search and didnt notice if any one really noticed any gains with this system at all. It is a arelatively cheap system and it looks nice in all stainless. I also really like the Apexi N1 system but only the canisters are stainless and not all the pipeing. What kind of gains are their with the two systems. I understand one is a cat back the Apexi and the Greddy is a axle back(only muffler). But their must be someone who has dynoed this system. Any info on sound and hp gains on either system would be appreciated.

THANX

Never dynoed it or really felt a diffrence in performance but it sounds a little deeper then stock and looks really good, i think i bought it a couple of years ago for around 430 shipped so i think it was worth it.

Pretty quiet exhaust. A bit louder than stock. I got mine from a friend that works for Greddy. He says that with the addition of their intake, the SP2 adds 9hp on the dyno.
I love the sound personally and the exhaust tips give the car a slightly more aggressive look without being obvious.

but isn't it heavier than stock by 20 pounds ?
didn't that affect the cornering of the car ?

i track my car and i feel the stock Z has a major problem clearing corners!
adding weight to the car is not really a good idea !!!!!

I didn't weigh mine either, but there is no way that it is 20 pounds heavier. If anything, it is very close to the stock mufflers weight, maybe a little lighter.

SP2 is basicly a Muffler Replacement...

It is slightly lighter then OE... Maybe by 5-8lbs at most... Does look much better then stock...

There is a sound difference, not much louder then stock, but you definatly hear it...

The main power increase from exhaust modification is from the Y-Pipe and Cats... Changing the muffler will mainly change sound and looks...

for all these ppl talking about it not being much louder than stock must not have any other exhaust mods... i have this exhaust with custom midpipe, testpipes and y pipe and it sounds freaking good and it is loud!! i mean i need to get a exhaust clip of it so ppl can see what i am talking about!!!

let me know if you want a clip and i will put something together and get it on here asap

plus i can feel the gains but i also added more than just the sp2

+1 for the exhaust in my book
