I love my Nismo exhaust. Stock sounding but more "throaty" and only slightly louder.

yes there are power gains, do all the bolt ons that tickle you just right then get a dyno tune or reflash to take advantage of all the new goodies.

How about this one: http://www.turboxs.com/shop_prod1.php?what_category=56

I don't know anything about it so if it sucks please don't flame. I just read the page I linked which says that it provides quiet performance

I like my Fujitsubo stainless exhaust with JIC y-pipe. Sounds nice, looks nice. Fits perfect.

Welded being the key.

But Borla is quite a bit louder than stock.. not obnoxious but it sounds like the OP wants the gains without the sound.

What about just going with HFCs ad leaving the stock exhaust?

If loudness isnt your thing, even if you are not going to do anything with your cats I wouldnt recommend the NISMO...

I would gowith the Fujitsubo however... It is pretty much the same as the NISMO except the tips are different looking and a quieter tone...

I have HKS + testpipes and it's very quiet when idle - I love it. Slightly louder in cold weather and faily loud at wot.
