Can anyone confirm that the earlier-year exhausts will work for the '07?

We have put several Nismo exhausts on 07's now. It all looks the same for clearance, etc. They work just fine. Jeff

those intakes look to be very efficent from factory, i cant see a redesign that can improve on the design. The only thing that may increase slow (slightly) is replacing thos flexible ducts that go to the airbob, BUT i figure they are flexible because the engine torquing around in the engine bay requires that so... ?

Sounds like someone need to bring their 07 to JWT for some R&D. It could speed up the process a bit.

How many more years will this model Z be sold for? Will JWT even spend their time/money to do this when it will possibly go out of production by the end of 2008?

Seems like the 3.5L could go away next yr...since the Rev up was only 1 yr (although there were a few in 05 Anniver. Edition-a glimpse of 06 production cars). Seems like Nissan is progressively getting closer to the 3.7 non turbo charged version of the GTR 350Z (essentially). Almost seems like they have been conducting a little R&D every yr that translate to production cars, making minor hp tweaks toward an Ultimate goal. I think theyve been trying to MAX out the 3.5L, then carry over the 3.5's HRs basic design to essentially an HR motor with 3.7L. I know the HR will have a few mods (not many though). I would just hate to buy an exhaust thats supposed to give me 10hp (proved on DE) only to net 3 hp on the HR with some pretty noise. I'm not all about nice sounds, I need my 1k to give me SOME power...

Although I shouldnt be complaining my STOCK Z will put out low 13's with a great driver. That in itself is incredible.

I keep hearing that the new engine is due out around 2010...I doubt that they would bring the 3.7 out next year...Does anyone know the real answer without speculation?????????? I feel that this engine is here to stay for at least a few more years, but what do I know.

when the GTR comes out next yr its going to be a 3.7 or 3.8L. So the next generation Z 2008 is going to have the same engine as the GTR without turbos. Should be close to 350hp. People who got the 07 Z are going to be dissappointed.

Like I asked before, is this 100% real or speculation....It seems to me that everyone gets caught up in rumors without any real evidence...If someone can point me to a article or anything else that says this is a certainty I would shut up..LOL...I wouldn't be dissapointed anyhow, I would just go out and get a 2009 so no big deal to me..

Its speculation. There has been no official word from Nissan they are changing the engine again.

I believe the general consensus is a new, redesigned 370z or 380z in 2009 or 2010. Again, however, no official confirmation or proof.

And Motor Trend/Car & Driver/Road & Track/Super Street/Import Tuner/Etc. do not count as official sources.
