Default gaskets and bolts

I'm about to get some new cats and headers soon but the hardware is not there.

can i used the same stock gaskets and bolts for random tech cats and alphawerks headers? if not where should i get new ones?

also should i coat the headers? or use wrap?

Thanks!

yes you can use them again, I ordered new header gaskets just to be safe because I have close to 80k now

I had my strup headers coated by jet-hot because of the corrosion protection to defend me against road salt in the winter. The reduction of underhood temps is a nice addition also

Jet hot also offers a lifetime warranty on new headers coated by them

The thing is the gasket in the stock cats is probably smaller than the piping on ur new cat. I suggest getting new ones for that reason alone. You dont want any metal blowing into ur cat do u?

Spend the extra bucks for new gaskets and stainless steel hardware. Any header-to-engine block leak will be a major headache.

I bought gaskets from Courtesy Nissan. With shipping it came to less than my local dealer. I buy quality stainless steel hardware at a marine store.

The gasket for the header to the cat is OEM only from what i have found, i dont know if anyone makes an aftermarket one. Here is the part number for it though 20813-AL500.
