Which high flow cats have the least amount of rasp, with or without a Nismo cat back?

I don't like rasp.

IMO do yourself a favor and just get test pipes. High flow cats are very expensive and are commonly known to fail from what i have seen.

I have AAM high flow cats and they have no rasp at all on my car paired with Meagan Y-Pipe.

AAM HFC's cost more than the rest but I got them because Im am local to AAM and had them do the install...now my parts and install is under their warrenty and I don't have to worry about any potential future problems with them.

Rasp wan't a problem with HFC's and Nismo for me, but drone at 3k rpm's was absolutely rediculous. I couldn't take it and swapped out for HKS. Now I have a little drone around 2k rpms, but not nearly as loud, or annoying, and in an easier spot in the band to avoid. I would recommend against HFC's or TP's with that exhaust, although some are fine with the sound.

AAM would probably be the best bet for a HFC because of the material used. I was going for a HFC but not next up in mymod list are some resonated test pipes

My AAMs look, sound, and perform great. Fitment and value issues however. I would take a look at all others for this amount of cash.

+1, now that the drone issue mentioned above is resolved. I only spent the $ AAM wanted 'cause I figured they are local to me and would support them if something happened with them. Reality is after a few other negative experiences with that shop, if/when these go out I'll suck it up and just replace them out of pocket with some other bracketed HFC's.

How about rasp?

Read a sticky somewhere I think it was and the guy reviewed a few setups and said the Kinetix and Nismo was perfect except there was some droning at like 3,000 RPM. Droning doesn't bother me because I'm use to it from my truck but I'm more concerned with a raspy bumble bee sound.

I'll look more into the kinetix

thanks
