Frankly, this was discussed gazillion times...
I believe Nismo is your best bet in the low end of the exhaust market.

Don't be worried about the Borla. Mine has a good 15k miles on it and I had only one rattle that took 10 seconds to fix. And that was the results of debris on the road hitting it.

No leaks or anything in all that time. Great sound plus you save a few lbs over stock. But if you have an AT then you might want the Nismo. The Borla down in the low RPM range can be a bit boomy. I dunno anything about the Z's AT but if it tries to keep you <2k rpm then the Borla might be a bit loud. With an MT you can just shift out of it.

If you take the time to post in the proper forum, I will take the time to reply. Sound reasonable.

Then you'lll like the Borla. It's the closest you'll get to that with a Z.

Not at all. It really sounds great. It's deep yet civilized and although some people don't like how it changes the stock sound of the car, I've never heard anyone say they didn't think it was nice sounding.

There has got to be someone local who has it. Post in your local forum and see if anyone chimes in.

+1, I love my Borla exhaust, as for it being in so many pieces just weld a few sections together in combo. with the supplied clamps/flanges... Although with an AT it does get a bit loud/droning inside the Z.

In the lower RPM range it's louder. So if your AT is crusing at like 1500RPM (that's a very low RPM) it's going to be kinda loud. With a MT you can downshift so that you're not in that range.

It's not terrible though. Just louder inside the cabin than the exhaust is normally. Once you get past 2k it gets quieter inside.

You can call a local exhaust shop for an install quote. Figure an hour or so of of labor.

Neither. They both are not great weight savers, nor are they the best power adders. Why anyone buys the Nismo exhaust is completely beyond me. Name brand ******.
