It may scratch it and it's not the best thing for the plenum for sure. Did you receive hood spacers and strut bar spacers with your plenum spacer? Ask Motordyne if they will send you some or if they will give you the sizes you need and you can get them for cheap at a hard ware store. With my 3/8ths in. plenum spacer I got spacers so that it wouldn't rub.

If the pic is accurate, then you need a lower profile strut bar. How thick is the skunk spacer? It has to be more than 5/16th's because it shouldn't raise up that high if it is.

alright, ill put this thread to sleep........Ok, after installing your MREV and spacer. Once its time to put on your strut bar, there should be 8 thick spacers and 4 1/16-1/8th zinc washers. Install the thick spacers under the strut bar and the zinc washers under the passenger side of the strut bar. To make this clear there should be thick spacers and zinc washers under the passangerside of your strut bar. This will make your strut bar fit over the plenum without rubbing.

The reason people do that to their hoods if for venting purposes only. Do not touch your hood with anything motordyne sends you. PM me if you have any more questions.

I've developed several different spacers for applications under the hood but I never designed them for a 5/8" spacer. Thats too big for what I have here.

Maybe I can put something together but there aren't many people who will try to fit a strut bar over a Skunk spacer.

The APS strut bar would be a more practical solution.

I have a few spacers that I can install on the passenger side! I will see what it does.

You also want to remember the engine will move under torque.
