Yeah, I know, yet another popcharger thread... [YES, I DID A SEARCH]
I just received my PC from courtesyparts.com (it's on sale for $110) and can't wait to install it. The problem is that after sifting through the numerous PC threads, most either went ahead and drilled two holes into the stock air hose for the heat shield or didn't install the heat shield at all.
I'd very much like to find a way where I don't have to drill two small holes to hold the heat shield (glue is out of the question, I'd rather drill). Any suggestions?

Have had the heatshield off & on several times & have never used the screws - stays in place perfectly with no problems. The mounting plate at the bottom of the shield that mounts to the body keeps it in place tightly.

Thanks for the replies, folks, I never thought about DS tape, that's a good idea.
I'm not sure I'd be comfortable just leaving the upper portion of the shield loose. Engines have a lot of vibration to them and I'd rather not have it banging around against anything (just for the annoying noise factor alone).

I managed to drill one hole and put one screw into the funnel. However, like everyone else has already said, the bolts on the mounting plate hold it just fine.
You can always heat up a sharp object and it should go through the funnel like butter.
