Default Plenum Help!!!

I'm trying to install a polished plenum but the two vacuum tubes were bent. The L shaped one I tried to pull back but when I did it broke the tube at the bend. The smaller one, I don't even want to touch. So what's the best possible way to fix this? It was suggested that I remove the tubes from my old plenum but I don't think that's even possible. Do you all think I can use JB WELD on it or will it be too hot under there? It says it can withstand up to 500 degress? I hope I can fix this because I paid a little more than usual since I had to get it shipped to Hawaii. PLEASE HELP!!!

Often times those fittings are not intended to be removed/reinstalled. However if you can get the ones off your OEM ones without breaking them you can try reinstalling those on the new plenum using something like JB Weld or other adhesive.

Personally I wouldnt try "repairing" the broken ones. If anything just try to put the OEM ones in.

Yeah i don't think that I'm able to remove the other tubes without damaging them. Right now I still have the OEM ones installed but trying to see if I can fix these broken tubes. With JB WELD, do you think they can patch up the broken tube?

You could use one of our Copper Iso Thermal upgrades in place of the tubes on your plenum.

It will also allow your plenum assembly to run a lot cooler while still keeping your TB heated.

thoes arent vacuum hoses in the picture, they are coolant flow tubes. The copper iso thermal is a bypass for thoes tubes.

And the good news is if you already have the upgrade, you don't have any problem... You won't be hooking up thoes broken tubes anyways. And they won't be leaking any vacuum because they don't pass into the plenum vacuum area.

Problem solved.

SWEET!! So the hoses that are hooked up to these tubes are basically obsolete? I guess I better double check my set up. Thanks very much.

Okay so I'm feeling better now. I went and looked at my set up.

So this piece is hooked up to the L Shaped tube??? So doesn't the coolant still flow through??

Oh.... You don't have the Copper Iso Thermal....

What you have in the picture above is the regular Iso Thermal. Thats very different.

Now you need to get the "Copper" Iso Thermal upgrade.

Back to square one.

Are these the pics of your new polished plenum or the original core you removed and have to ship back to the vendor?

+1 on those being coolant valves/tubes.

Yes unfortunately these tubes are from the new polished plenum. I'm having to buy additional parts from Motordyne to bypass the broken tubes.

**BUYERS OF POLISHED PLENUMS BEWARE, MAKE SURE THAT WHEN ORDERING THESE PLENUMS FROM ANYONE, VERIFY THAT THESE TUBES ARE NOT BENT IN ANY WAY.**

I had to learn it the hard way.

Oh man, that sucks really bad. Have your though about returning the product? Was the shipping box damaged, it may have been the shipping company's fault? Hope everything works out for you....

I'm trying to get it worked out with the seller right now. It wasn't the shipping because the box that it came in was fitted just enough for the plenum to go in with the bent tubes. After I bent the large tube back the way it's suppose to, I can't get it back in the box. Plus the way it was wraped leads me to believe it was already bent when it was placed in the box. Can't return because I'm in HI so I would loose a whole lot more money. I just hope that this person will do what's right.

Not a good situation. Just an FYI, if you ever plan on doing it over again, Intense Motorsports does a fine job shipping out a good product. I recieved mine in 2 days, very well packaged.
