Default Best Exhaust System

Need advice...just bought my Z and want to upgrade exhaust.

What is the best system out there??? Hearing about Borla, Greddy, Stillen, etc...Y-pipes, cat backs, Ti, etc...BOTTOM LINE: WHAT IS THE BEST SET UP?

check out the exhaust system from injen. I might have to go with that setup cause of the major performance gain.

only time will tell, everyone (vendors, exhaust companies, and owners of that particular exhaust system) will say thiers is the best, when more dynos are done, over time, it seems like eventually the cream rises to the top, and the pretendors are seperated from the real thing. This happens with EVERY car when they first come out, that I why I am laying back and watching very closely. in the end there will be a couple/few different set ups (E/I/headers/chip) that are sign better then the others, that is what I am waiting for.

For one, don't bother with Titanium. For what it is, it's way too expensive and more for sex appeal than anything else.

Here's your choices below:

1. Fujitsubo Legalis
2. Weldina/Nismo
3. Amuse Titanium
4. GHL (8HP, 18 lb.ft.)
5. B&B (8HP)
6. Power Enterprise SuperSonic
7. Injen (17HP, 12 lb.ft.)
8. RS*R Ex-Mag
9. Top Secret Titanium (8HP)
10. JIC Bullet
11. JIC Type II
12. Stillen (13HP)
13. ARC
14. VeilSide
15. Mine's Titanium
16. 5Zigen Miracle

Not Yet Released:
1. Blitz
2. Greddy
3. HKS

For what it's worth, Rod is right. You'd probably be best off waiting a few more months, especially since HKS and Greddy haven't released their stuff yet.

Default Wait for Greddy

Greddy is coming out with two exhausts for the Z this summer.

I agree that you should wait around for a while for some more dynos, especially after we crack the ECU. I personally, however, say if you have the means, I would always go w/ a Ti system. There's one thing that always leads to better performance all around on a car, and that is weight reduction, thus that 15-20 pounds you save is probably worth the equivalent 1-2 horsepower by itself before you even look at power gains from it flowing more freely.

I think you should wait for a while too. Before any real dyno number, everyone is going to claim their exhaust is the best.

I agree about the Ti exhausts, If you have the money, buy it for the weight reduction.
