All these people responding with props are local. So to call them names for seeing it and driving it in person is basically calling them stupid. Thanks for the positive comments from my locals. mike

Ahh yes, dreamworks. Send us your preorder money and, well, we won't send you anything. lol

Rob (is not saying that the OP would do this)

Well, I totally applaud the OP for his creativity of thinking outside the box. His workmanship is also tops... Now to put the icing on the cake, we just need some non-biased before & after dynos and/ or timeslips.

Is the neck or throttle body ported? How about the MAF, is it still stock housing?

I read every word of your thread. I was trying to be helpful. You can make the plenum as high as you want, but like I said there come a point where it makes no difference. Believe me or not, I dont care. I was just saying put more time into the flow and thats where you can step up the game.

Oh and the reason we didnt make anything more than the upper, is because it was not cost effective. You get the most bang for your buck with just the upper. Most people dont want to double the price for a measly 2-4 hp.

And guess what . . . Crawford Z is not selling plenums at this moment. Demand has decreased so much that its not in their best interest to produce them in the quantity needed to even make back the cost. From the original "hacked" plenum to the newer molded unit, there are thousands of happy customers of Crawford Z performance parts owners.

I’ll try to say this again, and hopefully it will be received better . . . . Good luck.

Do you think that the reduction in demand is due to spacers or are there just so many perspective customers out there and enough plenums to already meet their needs? j/c

...sorry for the "hijack"

Yeah i think it has a lot to do with spacers, cost, stock strut bar removal, and the other plenums out there. I also think just general excitement levels have dropped for things that do not appear "new".

The OP is trying some things out and may come up with something that could generate some new life for intake mods. It would be nice if someone could come up with something that is cost effective.

He did put more time on the flow. He Matched, Port, and Polished from the Runners down to the Heads. Before when you had the Lower Plenum/Upper Collector and the Lower Collector attached and outside of the car... when you would look from the runners down you would only see the light coming in from the bottom side. After he Matched, Ported and Polished both parts when you would look down the runners again you could see the table below it by almost half of the bottom hole. Before, the air flow kinda had a rough S shape going down from the Runners but now it's more of a smooth shot straight down after the initial curve. So Yes, Mike did put more time into the air flow this is the point we've been trying to make since page 2...LOL You keep bringing up the damn size of the Plenum Cover. We already know that after a certain size it most probably becomes pointless... that's why my plenum isn't as High as Mikes Original.

Although the Bigger size might be useful with NOS or Force Induction...

you guys realize this dyno stuff is going to be in the 500 range? let me break it down

before dyno
after dyno (lower intake install, lower collector install, box top)
tune (you will need to get timing advanced and idle rpm bumped up)
then dyno.
But dont forget when you install all this you also need about 140 bucks worth of new gaskets.

Is this something that you envision selling or are you just doing it for your own enjoyment, etc.. Just curious and looking forward to the results.

I dont plan to mass produce this in anyway. I'm in the military and did this just on a whim. I will however make a few and most likely it will be for local people only. I'm also having a hard time locating the lower intake(the one that bolts to the heads) You cant find them unless you buy a junk motor. The guy I had for doing the dyno backed out I guess I havent heard from him for a month now. hopefully I will have a set up by mid aug. Thanks for checking in mike

You live in miami, if you wanna come up to Tampa, on aug 18, a local shop that im quite friendly with is having its monthly bbq and you can get your car dyno'd then for pretty cheap.
