Is this the good spacer?
About to buy this spacer, theres alot of them and im not sure which one to get. What gains can I expect from this on a 2004?
If its not the right one which one should I get?

Also I hear about these MREV spacers, whats the deal with them and should I get that instead?
I used the search feature and didnt really get anywhere.
THanks guys!

i have the same AAM spacer and im fine with it. usually people go with the "mrev" over the AAM for some reason, but im happy with mine...you'll get plenty of input from both sides
Is the MREV like almost 500$ And on motordyne is it not called a spacer?
I dont think im looking at the right thing. Trying to find it for sale on a website. Can ya link me??

Motordyne makes two components and you are getting them mixed up.
One is the spacer. They have them in 5/16" and 1/2" height. The 1/2 cannot be used with the stock strut bar but the 5/16 can. The 1/2 gives a slightly higher gain but at the cost of having to replace your stock strut bar with an after market one (Cusco, Crawford, Stillen, etc).
Motordyne also sells an "ISO Thermal" spacer kit that includes an arimid gasket and coolant control valve that lowers the temperature of the air in the plenum. When I called them, they said they don't so much claim a horsepower gain from the ISO Thermal kit as much as they claim to avoid the power loss associated with heat soak.
THe other component is the MREV2 and it is a lower plenum replacement designed to return the lost torque for the REV-Up (300 hp) engines.
What the REV-UP engines gain in horsepower, they lose in torque so this is designed primarily for the REV-UP engine.
They mill down the tops of the front two runners and also mill the ends of the runners to shorten them. All to increase torque.
Some say, with a base model, like I have, the MREV is a waste but I did it anyway because they had really good pricing back around Christmas time and what the guy on the phone at Motordyne told me made sense. With the core trade in, it ended up not being that big of a deal.
I've not dynoed mine but have noticed a gain, not a huge gain, but noticeable.

you can check them out here... http://www.motordyneengineering.com
just fyi, i had the original MREV+ and it was by far the best N/A mod i added... it's torque that's felt by the 'butt dyno' and this mod added noticable torque... hp mods are ok, but you never truly notice their addition unless they add a significant amount of hp...

I did the MD 5/16 spacer, Copper TB heater, Coolant control valve, and the MREV2 lower collector. Happy with the purchase/improvement & would do again.
