Default Available HFCs

Hey, I want to stay emissions legal so I need to have some cats, and haven't checked in on these in the last year or so, so I'm wondering if there are any new HFCs out there, as well as the ups and downs of them. Thanks. I did search but didn't find anything new or usefull.

I went through the expense of installing Kinetix high-flow converters, and then test pipes. The Kinetix converters lasted 20,000 miles before developing serious rattles inside. I should have installed test pipes initially.

Ultimate Racing are excellent, excellent units. Been on my car since 2003, not a single issue. Perfect fit, sound great, even with my Ti exhaust, has the built in reinforcement bracket, and well, we just love 'em

I went with Random Tech HF Metalic Cats. Totally happy with'em so far + they're FI ready. Whatever brand you get (most are pretty good), don't get ceramic ones, get metalic ones... They're a little more, but they'll hold up to abuse & last much longer.

+1 on the RT HFC's. I've had mine for about 15k, bought them used with 8k on them. So 23k holding strong, no cracks/leaks or rattles. Fitment was pretty good compared to some of the sets i've seen.

I don't think these two lines go together. I don't know of any HFC's that will pass emmisions.......... unless you pay for the inspection twice.

Actually ceramics work just fine....so long as the core is a high quality unit. I've had the ceramic version of the UR's on my now as mentioned since fall of ''03, and over 45k miles, without a single issue whatsoever
