Now if thats not enough..then I can get a utec..but can I get 30 whp from that or will I need the Utec...I dont care about the total whp..just 30 from where I baseline at before the install. I know its a noobie question..but my fingers hurt from searching..not many people give their baseline before their new dyno numbers.

Thanks..also any input on the mods..I figure w/out headers this is the best till I go F.I. next year.

This is a bench racing question to begin with.

I would reccomend doing a before and after dyno to prove your gains and quiet the fanboys. Post it so we can see what these parts will do on a revup.

It won't be 30whp though.

I will...Finishing up all the ordering now..I really didnt want to shell out the $$ for the utec..but I also dont want a flash...u never know what your getting.

It will be a couple of weeks..but I will show before and after...w/bolt ons..

Im hoping for a nice 30whp kick..but I dont think I will get it either..Im thinking 20whp..but you never know.

Whats funny is motordyne will guarantee a 15whp increase and people are 100% positive you cant make another 15whp with exhaust/TPs/popcharger

HKS makes 12-14whp on average
MREV2 + Spacer guarantees 15whp and some have posted as high as 20whp gains

So taking the minimum thats 27whp wihout test pipes and a pop charger

You wanna say "ricer" math but those are dyno figures....hell people have posted 8-9whp from test pipes alone and most people will agree popchargers make 4-5whp

The tune will go a long way though as there is power on the table even with the stock maps.....I hit 11.1 on the dyno and smelled wayyy rich

I just love the doom and gloom parade...

If you dont hit 30whp without a tune youll be close 20-25whp for sure

1-3 extra whp according to the dyno figures...but you have to lose the strut bar (spacers might work I think)

i highly dought you'll see 30 hp. i have i/h/tp/spacer/mrev2/exhaust/low temp thermostat/crank pully and unichip/ i dynoed 243whp and w/ all that came to 278whp but thats on race gas. w/ 91 i only tuned to 270 before the knock sensor started pulling timing out and i believe it all depends on what kind of dyno you use. mine was done on a dynojet! some dyno's read higher though

I think it is possible with the help of some port and polish. I would try to port about 2mm from each runner of the manifold the piece that connects the MRev to the heads. I tried it myself and I felt a good gain on top of my MRev 2 and Kinetix V+, but I just haven't dyno yet. Just a little tip to get you closer to the 30whp you are looking for.

Yes its an 06...and thx for the tip but im not gonna mess with the mrev2...the dyno i believe is a dd..but again the total number is meaningless its the gains im concerned with. Im gonna buy the utec though....so its gonna b close...hope my car is healthy....and strong i would hate to put this stuff on and then have to take it all off for warranty issues...only 4k on it...

you might not gain 30whp right at the stock peak HP, it might be somewhere else on the HP curve that you make the biggest gains

Those are a lot of mods, and with a header, you still didnt hit 30whp on 91. Thats just not that exciting.

ya honestly i believe u can hit 30 with all those mods...

cuz other than that then a 350z would be the worst car to mod for the money.

and i thought the HKS was the most gained exhaust? someone had a dyno sheet with a gain of 17rwhp. sounds like a lot but thats what it said

so what you are saying is that if a intake makes 10whp just the intake by itself and a exhaust makes 12whp by itself, when you puth them both on a same car it will make a total of 22whp? yea keep dreaming, there have been soo manyc ases where a the exhaust will gain you power and the intake wouldnt do anything at all, the WHP for each of these items is to show what they are capable of doing *INDIVIDUALY*.

Modifications howspower gains dont just add up...

thats just not how it works. you dont gain 12hp from test pipe then 5 from an exhaust and get 17. It just doesnt work that way.

You will be close to 30 but only with a tune like everyone already said. A gain is a gain so why do you need exactly 30 whp?

I dont NEED 30...but thats a nice round number...the post wouldve looked funny saying will this get me 26 whp...lol..or what will this get me...i threw an achievable or maybe not achievable number to spark a discussion/debate...but with cams and headers i would think our cars could achieve 40whp or a bit more
