Default Borla Exhaust needs your help

Hello all,

My name is Rich Weiser and I am the product manager here at Borla Performance Exhaust. We are in search of a 2006 Nissan 350z to use for testing to attain E.O. certification of our headers. What we are exactly looking for is a 2006 Nissan 350z with the engine family number of 6NSXV03.5G7A. This number can be found in the engine compartment on the emissions sticker. The vehicle must have a minimum of 4000 miles on it and must be stock (no intake, exhaust or computer modifications). We will need the vehicle here at our Oxnard California facility for at least a few days to install the headers than we will deliver it to the testing agency in Irvine California where it will be tested. They usually require 1 week for testing but may require more. So overall it is estimated that it will be needed for approximately 2 weeks give or take a few days. During testing it will have some miles put on it (up to 300) from dyno driving. I am authorized to offer whomever allows us the use of their vehicle a full cat-back exhaust and a set of headers. If this sound like something you would be interested in or if you have any questions regarding this issue please contact me directly at richw@borla.com. We thank the entire 350z community and especially MY350Z.COM for allowing us to post this thread.

Thanks for offering on MY350Z.com, I would definately allow you to do this to my 06, as I have the engine code and I have my stock air box and exhaust still, but I live in Arkansas. What's funny is I will be in LA June 17th through June 23rd.. (without the car though).

Default Why 2006.....

Just a tid bit of more information. We are in need of a 2006 model year because that is what the CARB (California Air Resources Board) wants us to currently test. Once the testing has been done and if the header is EO approved we can then file an application to extend it to cover the 07 model year without having to test it again.

Thanks Again!

But the 07 headers are different from the 03-06 headers. In fact nobody has developed any headers for the 07 Z.

Just put back your stock airbox and plenum...it won't take that long. Great deal even though they will have it for 2 weeks...

Sounds good. This thread would be more appropriate in the regional forum.

Anybody near this facility should jump on this deal, because the headers and full exhaust cost close to $2000. Damn, if I lived near there, I would've dropped off the 350z, like yesterday.

Skidfive805 has generously offered his vehicle to us for the testing. I will contact him directly and once I confirm if it will meet our requirements or not, I will let you all know if I will need to continue the search or not. Thanks again! Your entire community rocks!
