seriously dude, try and spell correctly if you are going to insult me.

from you know, hearing my car in person and all that and driving a Z for you know three years or whatever... I can safely say it still sounds like a Z. albeit one with a stupid loud exhuast.

that is what I like about the Vibrants. it retains that purr... I mean you can't hear it right now, cause it is overly loud, but once I get it toned down you should be able to hear the familiar undertone.

also, that video was taken in a tunnel (I finally watched it). I will take a vid of mine in a tunnel... that kind of resonating enclosed space makes every exhuast sound good. or better.

All I can say is that it still had that distinct VQ sound, but its hell of a lot louder under heavy throttle. The idle is deeper and little louder, and driving is fun. I mean who wants a quiet sports car?

I'll probably order a set of Berk Tech HFC's later to make it a little louder and replace the crappy OEM cats.

Exhaust is now under major research for re-construction. The Berk Tech Cats changed the flow of the entire exhaust set-up. All the inlet/outlets are off. Now I have to replace the OEM Y-Pipe, Mid-piping, and might redirect the Borla muffler closer to the mid pipe. Now, I have to sit with the exhaust specialist to redesign the whole damn thing.
Vid on hold. lol.

Well, after I got the Berk Tech high flow cats installed, the rasp came a few days after. I think I need to change out the OEM Y-Pipe for a Tanabe Y-pipe, 2.36" to 2.75", than take out the 2.5" piping, and match the Y-Pipe with a 2.75" piping to the Borla muffler, than put bigger tips on the muffler. It seems like there's too much exhaust gas velocity with the Berk Tech cats. I gotta find that exhaust diagram that kid gave.

Its actually not too bad. Maybe a 2.5/2.75 resonator or 2.52.75" Magnaflow X-pipe muffler into a 2.75" piping would work. I guess I'll see this weekend.

I hate to say it, but if you REALLY want it to sound like his does, you need to get non-resonated test pipes. That will increase the volume, but more importantly it will make the pitch at the top end a bit higher. I might be trying this exhaust setup sometime soon.

I finally watched the vids... Those vids were recorded like at 1.5x speed or something... Lol! No way he's revving that high in the tunnel. And that s2000 sounded like a 14k rpm GP Bike. Again - no way that's gonna happen unless you speed up the recording.

That's the problem with the Z. Any additions or alterations to the exhaust system, and it can either make or break the sound. I might have to redesign the whole system tomorrow morning.

I still like how he had a "Detonator" in the middle of the system. I hope you include that in your final design.... that exhaust screams at the upper rpm range. That's the only notable thing about it... the fact that it sounds more like a sportbike than a car.

EITHER WAY IF YOU DO A CUSTOM SET UP RIGHT YOU WILL SAVE MONEY, AND BE VERY DIFFERENT. THE ONLY THING IS IF IT TAKES AWAY FROM PERFORMANCE AND TORQUE ITS NOT WORTH IT. BUT IT STILL SOUNDS NICE

it wouldn't surpsise me at all if that guy dubbed in some high revving motor into his video to make you guys go gaga over his fake 350z exhaust note.
