Sorry to hear that. You probably could get this custom set-up for $500 installed. Im loving the custom set-up. The exhaust sound is very distinct. I don't know if I wanna go FI at this point. I might wait till the 09's come out first.
My digi cam can't upload videos right now, but I might be able to get my friend to video tape some footage hopefully, this weekend.
I highly suggest this set-up. I really hope you change your mind.

 

Hopefully, I can get my friend to use his video-camera either today after he gets off work, or tomorrow morning.

That's what I mean: there's not one Z owner that I know of, that has a custom set-up. They mostly have the Invidia/Topspeed N1 or like a single 3". I just took another drive around my area to hear the "sound", and Ive noticed that Ive gotten many looks. I see them looking to see what's coming up right before I pass them. I wonder if its because the sound is so distinct or just echoing off the houses.

 

very nice man now you got me all excited lol. Heck around here nobody i see in z's hardly have many mods. Most are older people that keep them stock or wives of higher class business men for husbands that dont know how to drive them anyways lol. So i think if i got a custom awesome exhaust then people would be like wtf. I bet it would really scream with testpipes. How is the drone in cabin very bad?

 

lol. The Z is definitely more exciting to drive now. I haven't seen many modified Z's down here so it feels good to know that I have almost a one of a kind sound. The setup would definitely scream with testpipes, so a HFC set-up would probably better suit me. Im thinking Kinetix or something. I haven't noticed any drone in-cabin yet.

 

Well, probably no earlier than Tuesday night for the exhaust clips.

Im missing a firewall cable for the video input. I got a clip of a few revs of the exhaust, but can't upload it. I met with my friend, who drives a 2005 Z as well, and he and his friend even said it sounded pretty good and clean. I got to hear it from the back of the car when my friend revved the engine a few times. Its also much louder than I expected.

 

is there any way you can get a vid of it on a lil WOT run? maybe with them in another car and you flyin by? I just see all these exaust vids and i know things sound different when under actual load.

Actually, not yet. I have to buy new software for my computer to upload videos. Its gonna cost around $225. Im not sure if I wanna spend that much if I might get another computer. My friend might come by tomorrow, depending on his schedule and use his own camera. So, we'll see. Ive been getting anxious to just get it posted here already. Its been like a week since.

Since Im going out tonight drinking with a few friends, Im just gonna buy the 2 upgraded software tomorrow afternoon and see if they can work uploading the videos.

 

i dont remember needing an expensive software to just upload a video. if u have a digital camera it already turns into a file.

dont u have windows movie maker? (if u wanted to edit it)
