Question HKS hi power + kinetix HFC = SES light?

Hi, I installed the HKS some time ago... yesterday I put on the kinetix HFC (got them used here).. but after a while I got the SES light. Maybe they are quite old and not anymore effective but... SES light?

which check I should do now?

I ordered the fix for "test pipes".. so we'll see... but anyone here had same problem with HFC?

thanks
Matteo

looks slow also to me.... but 93% humidity and over 90 deg doesn't help a lot.. :-(
btw.. is 3th gear. manual.

I tried w/o the camera the none to 60 and looks fine... same for none to 100..

I'll go for a reflash soon... looks something is wrong.. maybe I'm too lean

Very unusual with high-flow cats. I would have a diagnostics done before installing non-foulers. The problem may be something other than bad cats.

well, if ur trying to show the car off and the speed and loudness of the exhaust, why didnt u go 2nd @ 30mph? thats prolly why it looks slow cuz ur a gear too high dude. its 90 around here and i go through gears pretty quickly. looks like ur bogging it a lil

I've had the similar problem...had an used set of helix test pipes installed about 2 weeks ago, and today the SES light came on out of nowhere. the car just hit 33,300 miles when it happened?

I'm assuming your running high-flow cats since you said HFC's... you shouldn't be getting a light at all. I'm running UR HFC's with the Nismo and I've not had a problem yet. I'd check your hardware and all your install points. Something must be wrong.

Install is correct, no leaks, nothing.. no loose welding... :-(

I'm waiting to reflash.. maybe we'll see what's wrong on the dyno.

Maybe you damaged one of the O2 sensors during the install. Go to an Autozone around you if you have one, they do free ODBII scans for you.

That's is funny... I kept "some sort" of cat just to avoid that problem... but later I'll go to autozone to try to understand if the o2 sensor was broken.

at this point better to be afraid than sorry... If eventually I'm running too lean (HFC, hks true dual and plenum spacer on a 06) I'll keep the car at home until I can get a reflash.

Matteo.
