I have a JIC ST non-resonated, and i gotta say that thing is loud. Way too loud with out the silencer in. I'm just wondering how much quieter are the resonated versions, compared to the non-resonated ones?I'm thinking about trading my non-resonated pipe for one that is resonated because its the exhaust is ear bleeding on long drives.

 

Singles usually are a little more loud on the Z than the duals, and going with the resonated one won't help you much. If you wanted a quiet exhaust a single JIC was the wrong choice. Maybe sell it for a Nismo instead.

 

i bet test pipes would quiet it down a little......

 

i guess that was a JOke ..right?... stock cats are what will make it quiet the most... testpipes will only make it louder
Yes JIC is loud... if you turbo it quitest down a lot...ITs to each peoples choice IMO, I personally Luv JIC exhaust =]
THe JIC resonated version does not do very much to quiet it down. I bet OP is n/a

 

Rickdogg had the JIC Ti single with a JIC y-pipe, test pipes and Crawford headers.

It was race car loud, but it sounded awesome.

 

Woud you be able to upload a short video or sound clip to see how it sounds? I wanted to get that same exhaust and this would help greatly

 

In fact, his cars exhaust note was used in the making of a race car video game. (I can't remember the name)

Find that video game and you will get to hear and control a lot of his exact exahust sound at a range of different RPM's and throttle positions.

It was all professionally mic'd and recorded on a dyno.

Yeah i bet the test pipes will quiet it down. I knew the JIC was going to be loud but just not this loud. I've driven many loud cars, and fart cans and i have to say the JIC tops them all. I love sound of the JIC at WOT but, here in the BAY AREA cops aren't too nice when it comes to imports and loud exhausts. If i had a STANG with FLOWs cops would give me props all day here, but i don't and won't ever own a FORD.

I picked a single exhaust for the weight and looks. The JIC ST is about 15lbs compared to 50lb stock. I know alot of guys like the nismo but I'm not a big fan. Its too QUIET I guess its JIC N/A FTW
