Default Exhaust and ECU results

Hey All !

Just thought I would post some info on the progress of exhaust development we have been doing from a shop here in Sydney Oz.

First step was I took the car to a dynojet dyno and got an initial run completed. Our dyno process is to do several runs and make sure we try a few spots on the rollers to get a consistance figure.

From here I have had Hi Tech Exhausts fit a prototype muffler on the car and I have had the car back onto the same dyno, the same time of day, same weather and the gain was 14kW at the wheels!!!

Now to the ECU. We wanted to see if this talk of the ECU making changes after modification is true or if our cars in OZ may be different.

I drove the car for two weeks and covered about 500kms of varied driving and we have found no change. We actually made the full 14kW increase after the two week and 500km drive in!

The car now use a Y-Pipe setup and we will re-dyno in the morning.

I am looking for some feedback on what everyone has found the ECU to do with their mods, how much driving, how long etc. At this stage we cant see the ECU doing anything.

Mike
