JWT PopCharger Impressions

[quote=Arnold K.]If you had a plenum spacer, you wouldn't notice any loss of power at all. I still don't regret my purchase, as there just doesn't seem to be a loss of power.[/quote
In a few more months, you're gonna wanna dump the popcharger in the trash.
I felt the same way as you in the beginning, just because it was louder, and it sounded faster, but its basically all in the mind. Im so happy I got rid of it.
I wouldn't be surprised if you made another thread in the spring saying how much you hated it and wanted to throw it off a cliff or the side of the freeway. lol.

It was fairly nice and warm today in New York, 65-degrees. No performance issues, granted that isn't a scorcher. And also, my popcharger isn't very loud at all. It sounds pretty much like stock for the most part, up until you pass 4500RPM.
I really can't complain about heat soak either, as I've driven the car extensively and haven't felt much of a difference after the engine bay has heated up. And I should also point you to a quote I made in the first page:
So we shall see.

But I do agree that come summer time, I'd be singing a different tune.

Damn I missed this thread before I purchased a popcharger. But my car isnt a daily so I should be ok. Yeah it gets hot here in TX but I should be ok. Do you guys think adding a air duct will help with cooling?

Yes, the stock 06 is just about as good as it can get. The JWT popcharger is similar in design, from what I've read - in that it also has a venturi ring and velocity stack.

I have the Wolf filter but the shield was bent up in a front end collision I had. Pointed this out to Sam at GTM when he was tuning my car and he also said it actually hurts performance over the stock air box. I have a 04 so would a salvage yard be a good place to get a 06 air box? Bet it would be expensive at the dealers.
