Default nismo...short ram?

Installing my Nismo intake today, I decided to go w/a short ram setup. I did not go w/the water bypass pipe. Right after the MAF, I put the intake cone in...any thoughts/ideas/concerns on this?

This might sound kind of dumb, but the reason I went w/a short ram setup is because when I was installing the water bypass pipe going down toward the grille, I noticed that there was no actual space where air could flow in, without me removing part of the bumper...so to speak. Anyways, I felt around and saw that there was styrofoam between my intake cone and the grille. I didn't want to mess with it so I just went for the short ram...any thoughts on this from other cold air intake owners?

you are talking about the styrofoam reinforcement. It doesn't get in the way of installing the cold air intake.

Cold air intakes seem to make the car lag a lot worse.

the styrofoam doesn't get in the way of the intake, but it between my lower bumpers' grille and the intake cone. I can feel more power w/the short ram setup.
