i honestly think that xo2 they removed doesn't looks all that bad.

its pretty dirty & has oil spots all over it, but otherwise, it looks just like my stock exhaust did when i removed it.

disclaimer:i did have to clean my tips to keep them shiny

anyway, i not fighting you or anything, just saying

 

My tips are the only part that have rust. Everything else is like new almost. It's been on for almost 6 months and Im in the new england. Tons of salt on the roads. My car is twilight blue, it looked white at one point. No real fitment issues either, only one small issue which I don't know if it's the X02 of just larger exhaust in general but when real cold, rubber isolators contract and exhaust hums against rear bumper for a bit.

 

R&D, if HKS had done all the R&D to justify the high price of their exhaust they would have put an X pipe instead of an H pipe. Theres a member posting here who had to replace the H pipe with an X pipe. And yes I think some people take this exhaust thing WAAYYY to serious. IF someone posts about buying a cheap exhaust, don't hate, just sit back and enjoy the laugh if it does rust out

 

I just got back from getting my CX installed and I must say I'm impressed..Aside from the fact that it only took the guys at the shop (Cepeda's Auto Accerssories) like 20 mins to install, the sound and performance are AWESOME!!!! I took the car for a spin and quickly noticed the acceleration was waaayyyy better. Also the exhaust note sounds rather exotic, really nice. Also I had the rear section, Jet COated in black, so I don'y have to worry about rust. As far as the rest of the exhaust, well the stock exhaust looked crappy and I only have 2500 miles on the car. So even if I do get some rust I could care less. Final verdict on the CX Lighting is, great exhaust: fitament was perfect, performance was great and best of all the price was awesome..I'll get some pics later, installation was so fast by the time I went back down the street to get my camera the guys were done..

I sent that exhaust to get Jet Coated Nov 23, but for some reason the guys took like 2 months to get the exhaust back to me. Then I had to wait for a day off from work cause my shop of choice doesn't open on the weekends. So if you SPRAY PAINTED your exhaust before that, then yes maybe I did...Plus you can't compare spray paint and professional JEt Coat..And yes the exahaust lookss NIIICCCEEEE!!!!!!
Still debating on the rear bumper tuck. I know it looks great, but still can't decide.

Don't know about an RSX, which is like what 290 HP stock? I may be wrong..But I've taken out my buddies turboed RX8..Spent 20grand on that engine to get 14.5 at the track, sux to be him. He loves to brag about that rotoray engine. The way I see it they're simple engines for simple minds.

Save up money and buy a real exhaust, just saying this so you don't end up spending the same amount of money down the road. I'm not hating I'm just saying.

And its not my fault the RX8's tuning is ****. Go hate somewhere else. Can't stand the hate Sergio, sucks when people got to hate cause we got an awesome deal on an exhaust..Mine's Jet Coated so all that rust issue every NON Cx Lighting owner cries about isn't even a concern..I won't cheap on tires, break pads, oil, and alot of other stuff..But a copy of an exhaust made exact materials and design I sure will...

i know that my xo2 materials and quality of welds is NOT the same as hks.Trust me..i know....

but then again its just pipes.same design as the hks so obviously they flow the same.isnt that what the F**k they are for?

Thinking about selling my Blitz NUR Touring to get 1 of these but I'm skeptical b/c of the talk about rust. I want true duals but the HKS is $$$.
