Actually... Did you read the date on those threads? One bad batch two years ago. x02 has never had one good batch since they came out. Lulz.

 

I have repaired a whole heep of HKS exhaust systems in my day. It's not an isolated incident unfortunately... I have done enough supra systems and I don't even want to see another supra ever.

 

I dont care what anyone says, the X02 sounds 10X better, the larger pipes simply sound so much deeper, the smaller pipes on the HKS make it sound so much more rice. I have a friend with HKS and TP's. We compare sound all the time and he wants to dump his HKS and get X02.

On the quality, I put my car on a lift all the time and inspect my exhaust system, its just as beautiful as the day I put it on. It hasnt even turned color or tarnished one but. And I drive over 100 miles a week plus another 100 on the weekend beating the car to death with Spray.

 

Also the pipes hold up to all the pressure of the Turbonators also!!!

 

^+1 i have quad intake , and a 8 x Turbonator Platinum on the xo2 side and it holds 130 PSI !!!

every1 says the xo2 is junk, so we dont care what you say. and youre not seeing any rust because you probably just bought it. give it a couple months.

 

^ nop, we don't have any salt in the SE..... so we see cars that are 30 years old and the look like new !

 

Umm ive had this exhaust for about 8 months..plus im the second owner of it and the previous owner had it for over a year on a boosted G35.

You guys take exhaust systems WAAAAAAAYYYY to serioulsy, its pipes man, just pipes, the quality doesnt have to be perfect. Its not like you lose serious HP from a lower quality exhaust system, at most with either system u might see 5whp lol!!

And even if the HKS is a better quality metal I dont care becasue im not keeping this car for 10 years. Ill take a little corrosion ( havent seen any) and spend my 1100$ ive saved and buy a NOS setup.

now, titanium is a different level. hold an AMUSE R1 in your hand you'll understand.

 

Just those two articles and you assume that HKS is inferior? Have you looked at the many horror stories regarding X02 garbage? What has X02 done in R&D vs HKS? Obviously nothing other than to copy HKS's design. I will never have any respect for X02 or what so ever. I am an owner of 2 set of HKS hyper (300zx and 350z). Nothing but top notch quality and sound.

On the other hand, HKS quality really is top notch. Believe me, if I wasn't happy with mine, I would trash HKS as much as everyone else trashes x02.

well i picked it up finally... overall it was in good condition besides the tips ofcourse... hey free is free

 

i had the xo2 exhaust on my g35. it sounded MUCH better (imho) than the hks,
deeper sounding. the hks is to high pitched for my taste. Also the fit & fitament was perfect on my car. i had a greddy TT at the time with hfc & the system worked, looked & sounded great.

they look like single back exhaust, not dual back! as the y-pipe is 1 piece & must be photographed together, as in the "b-pipe"
