The nismo catback sounds like stock but just louder.

I like the sound of it.

Anything else is just a little bit too loud for me.

IMHO

test pipes will for sure make it louder. search test pipes and you'll get pages and pages of results

If you want the nismo louder, install hi-flo cats. I did it and have come, over time, to like the sound. It did, however, take some time.

Actually it would be the Tanabe Touring Medallion that would be similar to the Nismo. I would think the Hyper Medallion would be much louder with test pipes.

I've heard the Nismo with test pipes on Youtube (we all know video does no justice) but it does sound nice.

It really depends on what you. subjectively, think sounds good. I like the sound of my exhaust, but worry every time I pass a cop accelerating @ over 3000 rpm whether I'm going to get pulled over and be ticketed "back to stock".
Nismo w/o the HFC was throatierer than OEM, sounded pretty good. The HFC certainly added turned up volume but also a growl and a bit of rasp.

Headers or test pipes or both. The forum is filed with recommendations and critiques.

from my own experience:

with non resonated test pipes, sounds horrible daily driving. Sounds great at WOT but i'm rarely driving like that.

resonated test pipes, sounds very good. Same sound just amplified louder.

Nismo with HFC's does sound very nice, not too loud but loud enough. It did drone a bit around 2-3k rpms on the highway, but no rasp.
