Default pop charger or power intake

almost everyone out there has the JWT popcharger. the only downside is having to clean it so often.

anyone have any input on the apex-i power intake?

Negligible difference

Other than heatsoak from the Pop Charger. Never saw the Apexi.

Negligible gains with almost any aftermarket intake. I started out with a non-rev lower plenum, a 5/16 MD spacer, and a z-tube, since it's a G. Next up a Stillen full catback, followed by an ECU reflash. Those mods have proven gains. inatkes are great for loud sound but, no gains.

not really gains I'm worried about, I know they don't produce much. There's a lot of info out there on the JWT popcharger, but I wanted to find someone w/ the Apex-i and their thoughts.

Hmm, I guess we're failing to see what you're really asking for.

I saw a picture of it installed somewhere, it does not reach as far forward (towards the front bumper) as others I've seen. Someone used an adapter from an ebay intake kit to extend it so the filter sits at about the same spot as the popcharger but I can't remeber where I saw it. Don't think it has a heat shield either

I recently purchased it and installed on my Z. It's pretty much the same as any other intake. Throaty growl from under the hood, high pitch whistle every now and then. I prefer it over the popcharger because its a dry filter that needs no oiling, and its supposedly one of the best filter elements when compared to other filters. This site has comparison reviews on the Apexi power intake along with other top brand intake filters: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

pm me if u need anymore info. ill be glad to help
