Haha, I haven't installed mine yet but I already forgot it came with silencers. The day I opened the box to check it out, I removed them with my brother. It took two of us beacuse one of those bastards was being stubborn and it took alot of muscle to get that silencer out from being stuck! I couldn't believe how tight it was wedged in that tailpipe.

I had an absolute nightmare getting the Y pipe to line up with the cats. Anyone else have this problem?

Yep. Pretty common. The flange angles are a little off and it's not as easy to manipulate as the stocker because the flex sections are so much more shorter. Chances are, your midpipe will rattle on the subframe too.

It's a great exhaust - just needs to be manhandled a bit.

I seriously think I had to bend the y pipe to get it on the cats! When I tightened everything down, I had about 1" between the subframe and the midpipe. Today, a couple days later, its down to about a 1/4" or less. I'll have to wait it out and see if it rattles, and then make a solution.

Check this thread or the one in the for sale section for my solution if you do get the rattle. Actually, I think we might have pm'd about it. I rolled under my car the other day and I still have a good inch of clearance.

Yeah, just two solid bolts + nuts and lock washers from my bucket o' bolts in the shop. Make sure you torque the hell out of them and you shouldn't have any rattling problems. I have sound clips posted here and in the thread in the for sale section, along with a simple how to for curing the rattle.

THanks for vid and reply. Sounds VERY good. I wanted to get HFCs, but Im worried it would sound too raspy.

Not yet...I haven't even had the pleasure of driving her yet with the catback . Once I get my headlights back from Subrwho, I'll be posting a compilation of vids in the media share forum. I'll link the thread in here.

^ So, my order just shipped. And I love the sound of this exhaust from what i've heard, but just now listening to yours - it may be way too loud for me. I might be afraid to ever get on it because a cop could hear it from a mile away. I'll be running HFC's as well...plus the Vortech.

It's really not that loud. Now after having it on a couple months, I don't know if I've gotten used to it, or if it's gotten quieter. Also, I run the silencers half the time. Sure they look ugly in there, but a rattle can job with black paint makes them so much less noticeable.

haha its okay at least you got back to me. I keep putting off this order due to other financial obligations. I'll be ordering the md 5/16 simultaneously...decided on not intake after all the research with the 06+ stock box being the only intake worth improving to

Just an FYI - I installed the exhaust tonight and the bolts + springs for the y-pipe to mid-pipe are crap. Not sure why they even went this route - doesn't work for sh*t. Haven't been able to start it up yet, but I hope it doesn't leak. I'll need to run to the hardware store sunday to get some bolts.

I also had a hell of a time getting the y-pipe to line up to the cats - but with some muscle (what little i have) I was able to force the bolts through and tighten them up. What sucks is if that y-pipe breaks/rots out, it can't be replaced and the whole system has to be trashed (unless they continue production).
