Default g35/350z borla exhaust

so i bought a borla exhaust off of a forum member here. i assumed it was for a 350z since he did not specify it was for a g35. Sure enough it was a borla for a g35. i did a search and came to a conclusion that the middle section is 6-8" longer and the tips are either shorter or longer than a 350z. My question is: Is the rest of the exhaust the same? I was going to ditch the h-pipe for a x pipe anyway in the middle section so would this exhaust still work if I brought it to an exhaust shop to make make me a middle section with an x pipe?

Sell the G35 exhaust to a G35 owner. Buy a 350Z exhaust for yourself. Much easier that trying to piece together something that does not fit.

yea i was just wondering if all the other pieces were the same besides the longer h pipe. I would be selling it for a loss of like $100 or so cuz of shipping if i sell it so unless i can find a local buyer i am pretty much stuck with this, so i was trying to make it work but not hack it together.

How much would you sell it for if you were to sell it?

I would sell it to a g35 owner, take the $100 loss and chalk it up to "a lesson learned"

Believe me partner, i know how it must be tough getting a new exhaust for your Z and realizing it wasn't for a Z. Keep the excitement under control and do it right the first time around. Dont hack into the exhaust, buy the right one.
