Unhappy Confused about K&N induction kits and the like

Okay, I'm probably going to feel really stupid about asking this but here it goes. I've just been on K&N's site looking at their products and I don't see an kits for the 350Z. All I see is their drop in replacements for the stock air filters. Where is everyone getting these from? Thanks!

Err... Okay, so the dozens of people that claim to have these are just lying I guess.

I really would like you show me where people (dozens) have claimed to have this. I have only seen 2 people claim it.

All joshing aside, I'm guessing that most folks just have the drop in replacements for the factory air filters. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

I emailed K&N today, they are still looking for a volunteer car in CA
to build the 350Z Typhoon intake - check their website.

Then what are those pics? Websites are a picture and K&N's may be older than current reality. Or maybe the pics are faked.

The email from K&N stated that they have no release date but to check their site as it is updated every Monday.

Wouldn't that ram air stall the car at highspeed, off throttle? I've read that cars that aren't designed for ram air will run too lean in certain conditions, and is bad for the engine in the long run.

Pictures are the prototype from SEMA on member killa3z's car.

Typhoon for the 350Z should be released end of July.

The engine cover is made by DG Motorsports.

I'd think a car with an ECU as sophisticated as ours would compensate for the higher volume of incoming air. I'd only expect the A/F ration to get mixed up if you had dumb fuel management.
